Ok guys, so I have always just used a fluke the "normal" way. Weightless, with a jerking action, or maybe with a small bullet weight. I have noticed on some other post that people use these for different applications. So if you wouldnt mind I would like to know some of the ways other people fish flukes and maybe what is your favorite way to fish them. Thanks guys, Matt

99% of my Fluke fishing is on a scrounger head. Catches bass like crazy around here.

Nope google it, there are several different makers. It is a jig head with a soft bill that kinda makes it like a crankbait.

"Deadsticking" means you throw it out, let it sink and do nothing...Just let it sit there on the bottom.'

It can be a very effective way to fish.

Thanks Mike, when I fish my flukes, I will let it sink down maybe 6-10 feet sometimes before I jerk it and bring it back to the top. Sometimes that will get them biting if the straight top water aint working. Thanks Mike

As 11justin22 said it is a jighead with a plastic collar that makes the Fluke have a really nice swimming action. It's very simple to fish, just cast and retrieve. The different size collars dictate how much swimming action the Fluke has, but it has nothing to do with how deep the bait runs. For depth control you simply go up or down in head weight just as you would with any jig.   

Wacky rig it

The best way I found to fishing it is on a shaky head.  I target cover with it and once I clear the cover i drop it dead to the bottom.  After I kill it I pump it several times back to the boat, but only little pumps maybe like 6 inch pumps.  I have caught fish on every part of that retrieve.  When it comes by the cover sometimes they hit it when I kill it sometimes they hit it and when I pump it back to the boat they hit it.  I make my own flukes and can control how soft or hard I want it and let me tell you I have caughten some hogs with this technique. 

Two that haven't been mentioned and are favorites of mine is to nose hook them on like a flick shake head and twitch them kinda Miletus jackall iShad but much cheaper ad more effective iv found.

Secondy on a swim jig I tie a 18"-24" leader to the swim jig then put the fluke in the back rigged like you would rig it weightless just with the jig out front. Iv tried it on regular bottom contact jigs as well as the swim jig both ways caught fish on the fluke "chasing" the jig.

A fluke is about the best skipping bait I have ever used. If they are up shallow in overhanging vegetation or trees, I'll have a fluke tied on.

Usually deadstick in deep water, and go weightless in weedy areas.

Try reverse rigging one with a neko sinker in the nose. Hop it like a bottom feeding minnow and hold on. Don't tell your club buddies anything more than " caught them on fluke"

I have a 3700 series box dedicated to flukes and I seriously did'nt open it once last season.  I never attempted any other rigging that the standard or double rig and I'd been having better success with tubes.  Going to try some of these if just to use some of my supply .
