rage tail craw

Featured Replies

Great bait I know its been said but 1st time out with it yesterday and they were killin' em. I used a 3/0 owner twist lock hook great action. They were really attacking them even with a claw missing didn't matter can't wait to try more of this line.

you know, i didnt want to like them, i avoided them like the plague for the last year or so because I thought they were just a gimmick with a fancy package. A few months ago I found a package of the rage craws in watermelon red for $2 on the clearance rack at Wal-Mart so against my judgment, I picked some up. I have had them in my "to try" bin for 3 months and finally decided to try one on a purple flash Omega Jig last friday. I clipped a portion of the tail off and rigged it on the jig. I couldnt believe the action those claws had, it was fantastic, second cast out landed a 1.5 lbs bass. I was honestly surprised. Granted, the craw tore up quick and didnt last through too many fish, but since it catches fish I am a repeat customer now.

Glad you guys like'em Keep in mind that often a fresh fish thrashing on the surface or in the boat is where most soft plastics receive the largest extent of damage and also where the claws on Rage Craws will get torn off the most. So if and when you can keep that to a minimum, I think you'll find your they will last much longer  ;)

Now go kick some more Bass  ;D

I didn't have a problem with the longevity of them they held up well. The problem was when a pickerel decided to attack them that's when I was loosing the claws. It was fine with bass the hook really didn't tear it up.

Hint: You might like the Baby Craw, too!

I'm a big fan of the baby craw, craw, and lobster.  Great series of plastics.  Big Tex and Double Header have been my most productive colors this year.

One of the most superior flipping/pitching baits ever created. 8-)

This Rage tails are the only trailers I will ever use, they are such a versatile lure.

I've had lots of success with the baby craw as a trailer on the strike king swim jigs.

I went to my step-sister/BIL's house at Lake Gaston this past weekend. We stopped at Walmart on the way to get some groceries and fishing gear. Saw these these on the rack and figured I ought to get them since I've heard good things about them.

I put one on a jig and fished a large empty boathouse over 20ft of water and got this.

It was a screwed up cast too. The jig went where I wanted it to, but the line blew to the side and hung up on the dock. I couldn't flip the line off the dock so I started reeling it in to pop it over the top only to find a bass hanging on the end. ;)

Have had good results recently throwing a 5/16 ounce black/blue swim jig with matching baby craw trailer.Steady retrieve 2-3ft. deep in the water column.

Great T-rigged by itself or as a jig trailer when you need a bigger profile bait.

I tried them for the first time last weekend and caught a bunch in a very short amount of time. Severe case of bass thumb after that day. They seemed to hold up find for me though. I will be buying more in the future.

Here's something I haven't seen talked about, I took a 3/8oz sk spinnerbait, and cut 3 "segments" off of the rage bait.  What a spinnerbait trailer!!  It gives it a little bigger profile than the chunk, but smaller  than the others.  The arms are going crazy directly behind the skirt.

Yeah, I do that, too but I just use Baby Craws. Way better action than a standard trailer!

got this one this morning on the spinnerbait with the craw trailer.

I love the craws for jig trailers, never thought to try them with a spinnerbait sounds like a great idea I will have to try that the next time I am out.  Thanks for the idea guys.

I cut mine so that the arms are flapping directly behind the skirt, not IN the skirt.  Looks nasty in the water!

I just bought some space monkey, chunks and more craws. Can't wait to get out there and try the space monkeys. They look neat. Plus with the four appendages I figure they'll have more action.

Rage Tail Craw=Most Versatile Soft Bait of All Time

I use it for topwater, swimming it on a weighted hook, jig trailer, and t-rigged.

My favorite way is on a 3/16 ounce weighted Mustad hook.

I can buzz it, swim it, and let it flutter to the bottom. I buzz it so much my dad calls it the Crazy Craw Frog.

The Alabama Craw color looks like a crawfish, bream, and a frog.
