New Pb And First Dd Bass

Featured Replies

Went out this past weekend with a friend to fish O.H. Ivie and had a pretty good weekend. I ended up catching a new personal best and my first double digit bass weighing in at 10.75 lbs. Caught her on a Siebert Outdoors storm series jig, 1/2oz brush in the series with a big bite yodaddy in easy money as a trailer. She was sitting at the base of a small tree in 3-4 FOW. I figured I would share it with yall.

Congrats on the new PB.

Congrats.  Beautiful fish.  Unlike that fine looking specimen, Often, when you see a pic of a DD, it looks kind of tattered and discolored.

Thanks all for the nice comments, It's still really low. It's down about 37'. It's wild cruising and looking at contour lines on your electronics and them saying they are 45ft deep but, there is only 8 fow below the boat.

Awesome fish. How did it feel pulling that monster into the boat?

Congratulations! Did you happen to get her length?

It was a blast, I set the hook and she immediately started taking drag and actually wrapped me half way around a small limb. Luckily I had a friend with me who was quick with the net and we got the boat backed up enough to scoop her up right as I got her untangled. I was pumped when we got her into the boat. I wouldn't say I went total Ike, but I let out a pretty loud yelp.

I didn't get a length, after the pic I weighed her and let her go. There was another pic with the fish on the scale so, I could go and measure the length of the scale and then use that to get a rough estimate of the length by comparing its size to the the size of the fish. I might have to go back and do that.
