Here is a little example of why you should retie and not just check your line.

And example of how to fish like Rhino:

Only because I got out on the water.   Just wait until I finish editing the rest of the videos......very frustrating day with not much to show for it.  Couple bass and a Tom fish!

LOL. Jeff that sounded like a golf swing on that hook set.

Your first hookset looked like about half my hooksets in the lakes around here with zebra mussels, not anything you can really do about it  :Idontknow:

I know the pain in that second one, I can catch a drum on about anything it seems like.

Still can vividly remember the last one I lost in a tournament because it was late in the day, I was tired and was just fishing around the ramp to trailer the boat before the end of the tournament on the Pamunkey River.

She hit my Senko I was just pitching in the wood along the bank. I was just killing time when she hit it.

At least 3.5 pounds. Line popped right after I set the hook. After looking at the line I realized it was knot failure. I had not retied the knot on that hook. I was just plain lazy.

Believe me, it will never happen again.

That reminds me... I need to go re-tie 9 of my rods... be right back with ya ;)

Ha! Love your facial expression!

did you find MY gar yet ????

It's funny I saw your video yesterday but didn't comment.

Went out last night before dark and had this happen to me. I caught two nice ones on my frog. Got snagged on a branch and got my frog back. Checked the line and everything seemed good. Then I go to cast out and my hook and frog go flying into the water like I just hit a home run lol.

Automatically started laughing thinking if this video. This rarely happens to me so what are the odds it happens hours after I watched these videos.

Nope, your $80 gar is still out there!

That was a drum?  Seriously?  That would barely be bait for the drum(s) I caught at Guntersville which were from 10 - 15 pounds.  Mike/GMan wrested the Drum Major title from me at Pickwick.
