One Fish Made Me Smile... The Other One Hurt Me!

Featured Replies

They both ate the RAGE Lobster flipped in deep trees! The Beastly Gal put a Big O Smile on my face when immediately after the hook set, she headed straight to me, only to relax a bit to allow being lifted into the Boat for a photo. :eyebrows:  The second fish made it painful for me to winch her out of the thick stuff grabbing every limb on the tree on her way up! I was hoping that it might be good Therapy after my shoulder surgery on the 1st of the month, but now I feel ABUSED :laugh5:  My grandson Michael said "No pain - No Gain" ;)

Slow down, you don't want to mess up your other shoulder!

Big O awesome story/pics, question for ya do you switch to the KVD chunk in cooler months or do you fish the RAGE Craw all year round?  Do you ever find the fish want a more subtle action what do you toss then?

sweet fish, hope that shoulder heals up so that you can keep muscling these beasts out of there

Very nice pics and fish, Big-O.  I feel for you with that shoulder, brother.

With two fish that big I do not feel sorry for you. ;) Just messing with you. Those were beauties. I don't know how you are doing what your doing with the surgery you had done.

Great question PABass and I've been asked this question many times. I only use RageTail products and have for many years regardless of water temps, water conditions and/or time of the year.

In the coldest conditions, I slow down and cover the fish holding habitat much slower, more thoroughly and more repetitive presentations to the same areas. I believe that it's the speed that we fish any given area and/or how fast we cover an area that makes the difference... Not the amount of action that a bait will provide during it's fall, or with the movement of the rod tip. If I felt that less action was needed, I would remove the patented Flanges from my baits during the colder conditions... NOT A CHANCE  ;)  Gotta wake'em up from their slumber before they'll EAT  :)

Thanks everyone for each of your responses and comments and hope you get a few more chances to fish before the Winter sets in!

Is there an opening for a bass slaying apprenticeship? Beautiful fish as always. Keep it up. Hope that shoulder heals up for you soon.

Caylub, YES there's always an opening for that  :)  Everyday that we fish, "SCHOOL is in Session" so you're already there... thanks!
