Don't Call It Quits Yet.

Just because the weather is turning cold doesn't mean the Bass fishing is.

The fish are still actively feeding in preparation for the fall.

I caught a lot this weekend and they were very aggressive and hitting like freight trains.

My 2nd and 12th keepers on Friday were both 4 pounders.

Cold?  It was friggin 90 degrees on Friday.

Now that's enough of that! I was out this morning, air was 33 and reached a balmy 47. Water was 51. My brother and I got 30 between the 2 of us in about 4.5 hrs. Most on the jerkbait, a few on pbj jig and a few on a trap. All in all a good morning!

Not here. 30* at the ramp this morning and 44* water temps. Made for some fun navigation.

With our water temps still in the 80's and the air temp going into the 50's finally for a low, we will have days where the fog is so thick you can't see the trolling motor.  That's always fun.

Good for you guys down South, I shut down until spring. Water temps around me are low 50's.

I'm planning on spending this winter skiing, working, and finishing my master's degree. Oh yeah, reading this forum too!

Just for the record, I don't live in the south. I am in Northern Illinois about as far North as Chicago but on the opposite side of the state. Our water temps are in the upper 40's to low 50's depending on the day but the fish are still hitting really good.

We're at 41north latitude, same as you guys. Still fish being caught, but the numbers aren't that great.

Don't know much about all that latitude stuff. I take a pool thermometer and toss it out with a bobber. If you're still catching fish, A++, and best of luck.
