I would be too! Nice shipment. Can I ask with the frequency of the same item purchased (core and stradic) what rods will be these going on? I have both and they are outstanding reels for the price and even better when on sale!

:love-158: Wow thats one expensive shipment. Im jealous.

I love new fishing stuff, its the best part about the off season...

I'm like most of us on here, a tackle ho, and always on the lookout to upgrade. I got lucky on my last reels. The CU50E's were excellent reels and the last Curado's made in Japan. That allowed me to use them for a couple years then sell them for 50% more than what they cost me. At the same time I was able to get a black friday discount on the new reels so I jumped on them. The Cores will go on my Cara medium light and medium rods but one will go on a Duckett ML to try out. The spinners will be on Tourney Legends.

If you are looking for another suggestion, my favorite rig is a

G.Loomis GLX MBR842C/ Core 50MG/ Tatsu #12. This has

become my dedicated swim jig gear.

One other thought...

I don't own any NRX, but my first one will be an 893. I have the BCS version paired

with a CU 50E7 supertuned. This is another "favorite of favorities". The forest green

on green is very complimentary, but I think one of your Core would look just fine!

I fish most soft plastics, especially unweighted, on spinning tackle, but the BCR or

NRX 893 is usually considered the ultimate baitcasting rod for these baits. Casting

distance is remarkable and hook-sets are enhanced with this longer rod.

I gotcha. The cores are very nice reels and bit nicer and refined than the curado 50e. A nice upgrade indeed. Those rods should be fine choices. If you could ever locate a 6'10 medium heavy cumulus casting rod it is one of the finest rods to pair a core with. Total combo weight is 8.5 ounces as the rod weighs 3 ounces. It is a good rod for weightless plastics and lighter jig and Texas rig use up to about 1/4 oz plus plastic. It actually fishes jerkbaits pretty well too. The rod fishes more like a true medium rod.

Nice haul!

I think ,next time try a Shimano Core 50E , for your baitcasting needs. Great choice!

Thanks for the rod recommendations y'all. I've been more than pleased with my Falcons but am always interested in something lighter. The shoulder and elbow issues I've had have all but disappeared as reels have become lighter!

Wow nice haul, I am jealous! I'm sure they will be working great for a long time.

I wouldn't get caught dead fishing with those cheap reels!   :laugh5:

I'd have to hide those well or the next thing I'd be getting would be my walking papers from my wife!

I may be mistaken, but didn't you draw my name for the annual fishmas xchange this year    Nice haul! Merry Christmas :xmas-115:

At least you won't be disappointed this year.
