License Plates?

Featured Replies

What have you all seen as good fishing personalized plates? I think my personal plate here in NC is pretty spiffy:

My old Ohio plate before moving to PA was "smallie".

My wife hates that we have 1 personal plate. Everyone can identify us...

One of these days it will be changed. And no, not a fishing plate.

I'd have a bass/fishing-specific plate if she'd let me.

Not personalized but this is mine.

I am trying to figure out how to get a Kentucky License plate (without having to move there).  I wish PA had something like this.  Maybe when Dwight catches a World Record Smallmouth out of Erie in PA, they will consider making one.

We need to do a new state record. Then they might listen.

I was wanting to get one here but I can only have 5 characters.....doubt I could find a free 5 character set that makes sense. :cry4:

How about:

Here's the problem. If by some miracle I caught a state record smallmouth, I would still put it back in the water (I have a feeling you would do the same). Therefore, we would still have that 8 lb 8 oz. smallmouth state record.

Nope - that Brown Bass is going for it's last boat ride.

I think A-Jay knows me too well. I would not feel guilty about harvesting a new state record. I have always practiced catch & release on smallies but that fish because of the logistics would become my only skin mount smallie.

I agree Dwight. If I had a state record in my hands I wouldn't let her go. If anything, I would put her in the livewell and contact fish and game on my way back to the launch. Weigh it, take some great pics and have a replica made or nice skin Mount.

PA requires you get it weighed on a food store scale with a paper print out giving the weight. I know the bait stores & some of the marinas have certified scales but the state record requirements are very specific about  the scale with printout. It would be almost impossible to keep the fish alive with that procedure.
