  1. Dang it... I’m short on posts.

  3. I love it so far... haven't been able to take it out yet due to work/weather but I'm hoping to this weekend. The color is charcoal and I went with the Yamaha because my dealer specializes in Mercury/Yamaha and for whatever reason all the Mercury motors where on the rt188c models and Yamahas on the rt188... plus I've always heard Mercury is the motor that keeps the shops in business and the Yamahas never come back. Not sure about the step hinge because mine is just a step with no hinge.
  4. Finally pulled the trigger on new boat... 2017 Ranger RT188 with a Yamaha 115.
  5. I think only the BPS Pro Qualifier for $49 is excluded from the reel trade in sale.
  6. I was #18 and finally received an email yesterday saying... Your reel is ready now. JapanTackle is closed from March 19th to 21st for Japanese national holidays. The shipping will be after the holidays.
  7. Does anyone know of any places around the Memphis area to kayak fish other than Herb Parsons Lake? Thanks!
  8. I just received a email from Japan tackle saying... You are the 18th customer on our waiting list of Scorpion 70HG. I’ll email you when the reel is ready. I can't wait!!!!
  9. I took advantage of the reel trade-in this year and last year for a Shimano Curado I with no problems.
  10. 3700 Bass Mafia Bait Coffin Top quality and built to last... worth every penny!
  11. The helicopter lure... I'm guilty of buying those years ago. I was a kid then. LOL
  12. That one I caught was from the smaller lake on the backside next to the playground...
  13. I haven't had much luck with OB park other than some small ones from the smaller pond that's across from the oval track. Central Park in Southaven is a much better option... 4.5lber today from Central Park on a NorthStar swim jig (bull gill) rage tail menace.
  14. Bold bluegill Oxblood light red flake
  15. Just ordered 5 packs. Thanks!
  16. I tried fishing Wall Doxey about 3 weeks ago while camping there. The water there is very VERY clear. I was only able to catch 1 bass, but saw several big ones by the shore... Y'all have any tips for fishing this extremely clear water?
  17. Bass Mafia Bait Coffin: they keep things in place without all the mixup.... pricey yes, but great boxes!
  18. Not sure about the lake, but I tried fishing below the dam yesterday with no luck at all. With the water being so low they had the gates closed and maybe 1 generator running so there was literally no current at all... One good thing was I finally got to check out at restaurant there called Top O' The River.
  19. Japanese waterstones for me.
  20. .... another thing is the Premiers have a 5 year warranty and the Avids have a manufacturer's limited lifetime warranty.
  21. Any tips for fishing Halle Park in Collierville? I've tried fishing there a couple times last summer, but floating/submerged weeds were a problem. I had to clean my lures off almost every cast.....
  22. I'm left handed, left eye dominate, cast left and I reel with my right hand. Also, I play golf from the right side, but I bat left handed.
  23. hybrid bearings use ceramic balls in place of steel ones, they are constructed with steel inner and outer rings vs ceramic where everything is ceramic.
  24. You won't regret it, from customer service, quality and even the packaging was A+ !!! I plan on getting my Shimano Chronarch 200E6 done in blue including the star drag and cast control knob.
  25. 7' St Croix Avid MHF Shimano Curado 200 I HG Hawgtech handle ABEC-7 hybrid spool bearings
