Anyone have good methods to store their soft plastic baits? I have a bunch that I bought last year that are mostly brand new and I store them in their original packaging in my tackle bag (to keep scents fresh )

Was thinking about that, but my bag has a great place to store my soft plastics, so I went this route. All my baits should retain their "flavor", right? Its only been about 4 or 5 months.

Most soft plastics can last practically forever if they are stored properly.

I have always kept them in there original bags, and the bags in a larger, deep, one compartment 3700 size plano boxs, with my extras in a storage tote back at the house, or in the truck. I still plan on keeping the extras in the tote, but that system is a little unorginized. This year I am keeping them in regular a 3700 box,  sorted by size/color, with just enough in each compartment for a day or two,and will restock the compartments when it gets low, that way I am not digging around for bags all the time, all my worms will be in one box, trailers in other, etc... and it actually saves space by not having a bizzilion bags all over the place in boat.

I have a Plano Softsider X tackle bag, and it has this large storage pocket on the front, and 2 smaller pouches on the side which are perfect for storing soft plastics.

I tried worm binders and they just managed to tick me off more than help. I found the easiest way was original bags inside of gallon ziplocs. I label them trailers, senkos, swimbaits, craws, tubes, etc. I put all of the bags into my old soft sided tackle bag. Of everything I have tried, I seem to have kept this method the longest.

I keep my soft plastics in their original bags as long as possible.

At home, they're stored in the drawers of my den cabinet (everything is labeled).

On the water, I store surplus bags in the bottom of the tackle box (Plano 1150),

and fill the open trays in the top of the tackle box with loose baits.

This way, every bait is free to grab without fiddling with bags or containers.

I use the cheap BPS worm binders and I don't think I could ever go back to not using them. I have all my plastics sorted by type and color in the binder pages. I know exactly where everything is so there's no fidgeting through random bags of plastics trying to find the right one. Also, the binders fit perfectly in the sides of my BPS 370 tackle bag.

Go to the dollar store and look for the plastic box with a clip lid about the size of a shoe box. I keep all mine in that.

Winter here in New England has given me plenty of time to find the best was to store plastics i my bag. I have a Plano Guide Series 4673. What I do is I try to carry as little plastics as possible because i fish from shore and I try to carry as light as possible, yet have everything I need. I put the plastics in the side compartments of the bag and in clear zipper pocket.

I use the bassmaster tackle bag to keep what I'm gonna use and all my overstock gets organized into those clear plastic shoe boxes.

I keep all my soft plastics in their original bags and I store them in cheap plastic totes. I used to store them in plano 3700 boxes and it worked but as I started getting more tackle it was expensive having a Plano box for all my plastics and there was a lack of room in my backpack for my terminal tackle, soft plastics,  jigs and crankbaits.
