Favorite Popper

What is your favorite Popper style bait?

Mine is a Lucky Craft G Splash I bought about 10-12 years ago out of a mobile tackle trailer at Kentucky Lake when I was there for the ABA Nationals.

That thing is a fish catching machine. It is still in pretty good shape too (with the exception of a missing eye which just adds character).

Just a different favorite color: Tonosama Frog

Rebel Pop-R in Foxy shad color

Rapala Skitter Pop. Very walkable with a nice big cupped mouth. Firetiger for clear open water, Frog for skinnier waters, you get the idea. Best finesse popper I've used.

That being said it's only available in 1/4 oz, and I'd like something a bit more castable. I may give some of the aforementioned LC and Megabass poppers a look.

Duo- Hacker Slaver Chug

MegaBass- Pop Max

Xcalibur Zell-Pop hands down!

Damiki D Pop 70 for me. They walk the dog like a champ and have a good spitting action. Cast like a bullet as well!

Two seasons ago I got hooked on the Pop n' Image Jr.. This bad boy is dynamite on both bass species. Especially when working just outside the weedlines. I've never had a popper that "walks the dog" easier than this bad boy. You can pop it or walk or splash with it. And the finishes are outstanding:

RICO.

My favorite part about this thread is that there are about ten different answers. This is why the tackle industry does so well!

We think alike, but like the sheep...........I too have a favorite. It's hard to beat a good ol' cheap Rebel Pop-R. Change the craptastic hooks it comes with, and it will catch fish with the best of them.

I am a skitter pop fan as well and they do make a larger version......Honestly though most times if i am throwing a popper it is on the fly rod

I gotta go with a Rico.

megabass pop-x and pop-max.  I really prefer the balsa baits, but they're getting harder and harder to get on a regular basis.

Rico is a winner!
