Underwater Photos Of Giant Bass

Swimbaits work best when they are similar to the size of the prey being targeted.

Definitely a concert launch ramp with grooves, that is where most planted trout are released.

That's concrete grooves in the boat ramp.

Well known big bass hunter Mike Long took the time to take some underwater photos of huge bass throughout the year. The results are some pretty awesome pictures of some very large bass, just doing what they do.

Guys, just to put things in perspective. Mike Long shows a underwater picture of an approx. 16 lber.

That fish is twice the size of Bluebasser's Avatar picture!!  Clayton said his was 7 1/2 lbs.

My Avatar Bass would have to be almost 4 times as big!

Is that just SICK or WHAT?

Awesome photography of beautiful bass. Thanks for sharing the link.

those redear next to that bass were a little over a pound each ( I caught a couple of them). That bass was right around 10lbs in its condition and probably would have been close to 12 pounds when it was fat. I had it nip my bait and I stuck its upper lip for a second but it came undone. I talked to Mike when he first posted that picture because I thought it was the same fish.

All those pics are awesome, but choking that kitty and pinning the trout was an A++

After looking at the pictures a couple more (ok, maybe a bunch more times) it appears the fish that ate the catfish is the same fish that he estimated to be around 16 pounds, makes me wonder how big that catfish was! It's either the same fish or there's two very large bass with almost the exact same 2 tears or cuts in it's tail.

A fella gets so used to seeing them lipped out of the water they almost look strange with their mouth closed.

It sure looks like the same bass in both pics to me as well. That was no small cat for sure. Matt might have to come out with a 12-15" catfish swimbait now  :eyebrows: . I bet one of his bullhead baits would do well in our area.

I'm gonna need a bigger boat...

A++

Great pictures! Especially since it's 25 degrees out & all the fresh water and half the salt water banks around me.

Awesome pics

Great post Bluebasser.

I've shared this with several friends.

Those images just reinforce why I always take a sidearm when fishing! :laugh5:

Thanks

Not me no stinking sidearm. Shotgun but sure not a pistol. Want more bullets to take down the whale.
