  • Hmmm. Maybe a different perspective, as I've caught all my big bass on soft plastics.   1) Senko + off-brand 2) Zoom Trick Worm 3) Zoom Finesse Worm

In no specific order...

- Jig - size, color, type, and trailer dependent upon time of year.

- topwater - Frog or x-pod depending upon cover present

- Texas rig- normally a rodent, beaver, d-bomb etc...

These typically account for 90% of the larger fish taken on given year for me.

Your profile tells me you are 13 years old, your profile indicates you have caught a 13-14 lbs LMB! Impressive for Alabama.

What did you catch your PB bass on?

Tom

Ok, top three fish fir me, and what they came on:

1. 7-2: Texas rigged 10" black Powerworm w/ 3/8 oz weight.

2. 7-1: 4" Jackall Flick Shake worm on a 3/32 wacky jig.

3. 6-8 (I have several this weight, it's a curse, lol, but this is the most recent) 3/4 arky style jig with a Super Chunk trailer. Black and blue, black w/ blue flecks.

Now, my top three big fish baits:

1. HPH super slow sink, custom built

2. Mattlures Hardgill floater in male

3. Jigs

Jig n pig has accounted for most of my 8lb+ fish just seems to be a big fish go to. Frogs and large 7" swimbaits have taken a few. That being said my 12-3 pb came on a rattling rapala #5 in tenesse shad cast on top of breaking fish busting shad.

Hollow Body frog, KVD 1.5, storm swim shad, and pop'r are what my 5 biggest fish came one (2 on the pop'r)

My buddy does a lot of night fishing out of Atlanta at the SAME spot behind a graveyard and all he throws are the Mann's 12" worms, just this year he has caught few 6- 7s, three 8s, and a 13.10!!! All on those worms all in the past 3 months, I told him to send the pics to Mann's they will probably have a sponsorship for him lol.

1. jig

2. Swimbaits the Zoom type, I'm too much of a sissy to throw the Hudds and such.

3. Zara spook full size.

1. Big profile jig

2. Crankbait

3. Any 10 inch worm

1. 6" plus swimbait

2. Frog

3. Jig

4. Large plastics (8" or bigger)

My biggest bass came off a spook, but I don't think it necessarily catches bigger fish

1. Jig

2. Spinnerbait

3. Smokin Rooster- Seems like every fish I catch on this bait is a big fish.

1. Jig

2. Senko

3. Super Fluke

In my limited (serious) fishing experience:

1. Zoom Brush Hog

2. 5" Senko

3. 1/2 oz Spinnerbait run close to brush edges

I'm trying to get my jig-craw trailer presentation better since so many people have success with it. Once that happens it may replace one of those three.

Has anyone said Jig yet?

1. Jig (Yamamoto Hula Grub)

2. Fluke

3. Dropshot (zoom finesse worm)
