Just got me a new prescription and want to get some decent fishing glasses. I will probably go with some Cocoons or Fitovers for now. Just wondering what the best all around general use color is? I know all the different colors have their strong and weak points. I was thinking gray but not really sure.

I see through the water best with amber and yellow oakleys. Visibility through the water is amazing. My brother insurance mostly covered a 600.00 pair of oakley prescription sunglasses. He came out of pocket like 80.00

I just asked this on another site. I have amber and during sunrise they are completely worthless. I'm going to get a set with grey lenses. Solar Bat has lenses that are both amber and grey with different percentages of each depending on your needs

Who makes the "Cocoos or Fitovers" and where do you get them??

I have always liked amber as a "do all" color.  I have never liked grey or green tint, it always seems like I see more with amber.

This is how I decide which lens to choose.

 

Amber - Perfect for low-light conditions; early morning, late evening or overcast conditions.

 

Grey lens color is perfect for everyday, all day use.

 

Blue Mirror over Grey - Perfect for outdoor activities where reflective glare are most intense, such as snow skiing or boating. Reflective glare from snow or water is very damaging to the eyes when not protected, the Blue-Mirror coating offers 100% UVA/UVB protection and Polarized filter offers the outdoor enthusiast the best in sun wear protection.

 

Green Mirror over Amber -  A better option for on land activities where the reflective glares are not as intense and more light is needed. As with the Blue Mirror over Grey lens, both coatings provide 100% UVA/UVB protection and Polarized filtration.

I change between Oakley "titanium polarized" on really bright days and "blue ice" on partly sunny or overcast.

Just as AJ said... Amber for low light. Blue over Gray for bright days.

I'm actively looking for Costas on the web and seems like there is a 1000 styles and colors.  Any recommendations for a tournament fisherman heading into the spring and summer season? Budget stops around 75 bucks for now.

i fish alot of stumps below the waterline and brown has been best for me also.
