Anyone out their know of a good line that has low memory an pretty abrasion resistant I was looking at the p-line cxx but then I see where people were saying it has a lot of memory so what do ya'll suggest

I like Sufix Elite and Sunline Super Natural for Mono

 

I also like the Sufix braid, but PP is fine as well

Berkley Trilene Smoothcasting monofilament doesnt have much memory and its pretty strong, but it does lack a little in abrasion resistance. Its cheap also.

I'd look at McCoy mean green, seaguar senshi, or if you want to step up to the best, get Sunline Defier Armilo.

I'm wondering the same. This is the first time I'll be looking for a 65lb braided. Sorry to piggyback your thread but maybe someone can answer us both without two posts.

Since we both have pretty much the same frog rig and stuff, I have been using 50 lb power pro the past few years for frogs and have had ZERO issues with it. I love the line. I dont really fish Pads or the thickest cover, so 50 lb has been more than enough for me.

I use p line cxx in 6 and 10 lb. I use 6 on spinning reels and its never let me down. If it was unmanageable it would be in the trash. I actually am considering buying it in 3000 yrd spools quite economical compared to most lines.

So has anyone else memory problems with the pline cxx?

Take a look at XL armor coated.  The stuff has ZERO memory.

CXX is all I use when it comes to mono/copoly. Yes it does have a little memory but it's never been the problem for me that it seems to be for other guys. I can cast this stuff just as far as any other mono/copoly that I've tried. There aren't many lines out there that are as tough or as strong as CXX. These are the main reasons I use this line exclusively, I never break fish off, period. Of course I check it often and retie as needed throughout a days fishing because as we all know, no line is magic.

 

Works great as a leader for braid as well.    

Ok!  I struggled about this for a while and finally bought the Seaguar  abrazx in 12, 15, and 17 lb tests.  I bent a mustad EWG 4/0 straight with the 17lbs test.  I got hung up in some timber and I pulled and pulled, had the trolling motor on 5 trying to break the line and finally it let go. I was absolutely surprised when I reeled the line in and the hook was still there almost bent straight.  I ran the line across my lips just to see how rough it would be and it wasnt bad at all.  Caught a few fish later, checked it again, still smooth.  Caught a 9# hybrid a few casts later, and this ALWAYS trashes the line.  I checked it and would you believe that it still wasn't that tore up.(and I did retie after each event)  After all that I am thoroughly sold on this line now!  Sure its more expensive but I'll pay from what its shown me after last weekend.  I do use a line conditioner (oil based - REAL MAGIC) to keep the line from the memory of the spool.  So thats my 2 cents worth of experience.  Hope it helps...

Berkley Trilene XL for a spinning reel and XT for baitcasters.

Never tried the CXX, but i use the CX co-polymer a lot. It is very abrasion resistant

Went to dicks last night, there having great sales right now. Picked up sufix elite and cxx to try out for my crankin rod. I'm a braid guy but I'm forcing myself to use more mono/copoly this year. I've used 6-8lb cxx before, I bought 10lb and d**n that stuff has memory.
