Rain Suit

Featured Replies

Looking to purchase a rain suit, like everyone these days I'm trying to get the best bang for my buck. Any suggestions??

a set of frog togs with bibs.

very hard to beat for the money

x2 on frogg toggs for boat... just no good for bushwacking

Keep an eye on cabela's for sales. I picked up both bibs & jacket for 1/2 price last spring. Pro guide wear. Well worth the $$$

Gore-Tex. No, it's not cheap.  But think about how much you've spent on all the cheap rain suits you've bought that did not keep you dry and comfortable.  Get a good rain suit. You won't be sorry…unless it never rains.

i just stay home when it rains

And miss out on some of the best fishing there is  :dazed-7:

Frogg Toggz is you want to keep it cheap, Cabela's Guidewear or BPS 100MPH suit if you can swing them.

Bluebasser nailed it

I used Frog Toggs for a few seasons and found them lightweight, tough, waterproof and cheap.

I might still be using them today, but I removed the jacket one day after a rain, and it blew out of the boat somewhere.

Anyone need a pair of Frog Togg pants

Cabelas Guidewear is another excellent rainsuit, but will set you back considerably more

Guidewear is on sale often. The gear is made to last. Mine is over 10 years old and still

looks brand new. No leaks, no tears, no seams splitting. Great value for the long-term.

I agree. Spend the money on your rain gear, and it will last you for years, and you won't regret not buying the good stuff when you have to replace a lesser set in a couple years. I have the BPS 100 MPH bibs and jacket, and couldn't be happier with them. I have two friends who also use the Cabela's Guideware, and they are happy with those, as well.

ebay. get military camo 2nd generation GORETEX parka and pants for less than $80....... plus....no one can see you on the water (smile).
