What do you prefer Tatsu, Abrazx? What LB? Do you like Invizx or use it as a leader?

 

Me i use Abrazx 17lb on most reels thinking about buying some Tatsu wondering if there is any real solid benifit? Cost is double Abrazx.. 

I'm a Tatsu man. Abrazx has too much memory, Invizx has too much stretch. Tatsu is hand-spun by Zeus from crystallized dragon tears.

I have gone to exclusively using tatsu as a main line this year for every application I need floro which is a lot. I can get 2-3 reels done with one spool when backing is used. The line is that good. On here and many other forums the line has been discussed in great legnth. Among hard core floro users it in the conversation for best.

It's great line. Nothing's wrong /w AbrazX. Line conditioner solves most if not all line management issues. It's a slippery slope going to Tatsu.

Ty bass.. Gotta have the best. I can always make more money. I sure as heck cant take it with me when the man up stairs says its time to hang the rods,golf clubs, softball gear. Im the type that wont settle for less then the best.. If i dont spend it the ol lady will.. LOL

 

I am gonna use the abrazx i have and yes with some KVD i didnt have any issues with it at all.. Its actually what got me looking into the tatsu more. Along with your suggestion of course..  Seagaur will thank you..

Yea I was told they actually come up with the idea while listening to the song puff the magic dragon as a kid.. They were involved in a peace offering of some sort.

Why isn't InvizX on the list.  I swear by that line for almost everything.  8lb all the way to 20lb.

BUT.... I am probably going to switch to invisx for the cost benifits.

I just tried my first expensive flouro this year in sniper and I like it a lot. Would like to try tatsu soon as I hear nothing but greatness about it.

I use 4lb test Invizx for trout fishing. Other than that, I have no use for fluorocarbon line; particularly Tatsu.

no other reason really...Tatsu has great strenght, arbrasion resistance, low strech all the qualities you want in a line .... but... +/- $45 for 200 yards for tatsu or +/-$90 for 1000 yards of invisx.

 

I love Tatsu and have ran it on every thing I have for the last 2 years...... it is bar none the best line out there.... but I am testing Invisx to see if I can switch.

I think Invisx is the best bang for the buck, but Tatsu is the BEST.

as with most things in live it is a comprimise

I took eight rods with me to the 2013 Bass Resource RoadTrip. (because that's how many fit in the rod rack I've built into my Jeep) Three reels were freshly spooled with 12lb test Tatsu. I went out with Big-O my first day, and took two of the Tatsu loaded rigs, along with two others. After about 15 minutes of fishing, I noticed my line, tatsu, was shredded all along the first 18-20" up from the pegged weight.

 

Checked my rod tip guide for damage and found none. Re-tied, same thing. Re-tied, same thing. Cut the bait off, and tied it onto a different rig with a different line. I used the same hook, same bait, same weight, same bead. No problems this time, so it was not the weight or bead causing the abrasion; it was the cover we were fishing. I tried the other rig spooled with tatsu, and had the same problem. Big-O may be able to tell you how many times I had to re-tie. I don't remember, but it was a lot. Enough so that I retired those two rods, and fished with the other two rigs the rest of the day. With no line shredding problems I might add.

 

The other line? That no good ,useless, stretchy, non-abrasion resistant, cheap Trilene XL.

I should add that it IS possible I had a couple of bad spools of line, and had I tried a couple of different spools, I may have had a completely different experience.

 

 My take on that is simple. For 50 bucks / 200 yards, there should be NO BAD SPOOLS OF LINE.

 

I will buy no more Tatsu.

 I told you about it, that evening, but the wine was flowing, so............. LOL

 

I did some additional testing after the RoadTrip, and my conclusions were the same. No more Tatsu for me.

If that were my experience I wouldn't use it either!

100% for the money there should be no bad spools!

Tatsu is amazing line but is expensive. I still prefer InvizX. I use it in 10, 12 and 15lbs test on bait casting reels and 6 and 8lbs on spinning reels.

I run Abrazx and Invizx for all my floro needs.  50% of my 12 rods are set up with floro. 

 

I have limited experience with the Abrazx as I just started using it.  But I can't say anything bad about Invizx.  I have been using it for cranking, t-rig in the rocks and brush, Jerk baits. 

 

I am trying the Abrazx as I have heard it has less stretch than Invizx.

I myself am gonna try Tatsu casting setups and invzx on spinning gear. I hope to be able to add to what you guys have said in the future..
