I've only used cinnamon brown and some blue one with black flakes (I think). I've had a lot of success with the cinnamon brown but only changed to the blue one today when I ran out of cinnamon brown ones. I caught 2 fish. So not enough experience to know. I want to buy some in bulk from Tackle Warehouse but see that they don't have cinnamon brown as an option. I'm in central Minnesota.

Anyone not have success or dramatically less success with any certain Senko color?

For me those colors are unproven and I don't want to buy a 100 pack in an unproven color.

I also don't know if the lakes I'm fishing are considered stained or clear. I usually fish Bald Eagle and White Bear Lake in Whitebear, Minnesota.

Fair enough - however one package of a few new colors to try is a prudent move.

Choose the colors you like and that have worked for and fish with those, unless the colors you like are not available ( it happens ) why change ?

Nope they all work. I sometimes buck conventional "wisdom" and use black blue in clear water..................guess what......they bite it, go figure.

I feel the green pumpkin magic is great for clear water but have no proof because I have ran out and used smoke or watermelon and caught fish.

Yeah.............green pumpkin. Why? Because I use it the most. Your placing too much importance on color. Pick one and fish it.

Yup, Red Shad, wait, maybe it's because I fish that color a lot.

I throw a bunch of senko colors -- watermelon red flake, cinnamon with red tip, green pumpkin with chartreuse tip, watermelon/green pumpkin laminate, black with blue flake, black no flake, watermelon black flake, and purple. And those are just the 5" colors.

I've caught fish on all of them on various local bodies of water. Different times of day (although I don't fish at night much) and different water conditions.

I honestly don't think colors matter. However I'm trying to consolidate to 2-3 colors: black with blue flakes, green pumpkin chartreuse, and one more (likely WMRF or cinnamon with red tip).

Green pumpkin works everywhere in any water color. Is it always the best option? no. but if you're trying to cut it down to just 1 color that's the easy choice for me. 

The only two colors I use on a regular basis is watermelon, and junebug.  Sometimes I'll use a different color, but I always go back to those two colors.

I have the most success with plain black and green pumpkin.  I think any dark color is all you need.  There is one color that I have yet to catch anything on...I think they call it blue pearl w/flake.  I thought it would be a good color because it is so bright.  But nothing.

you can't go wrong with green pumpkin w/blk, watermelon w/blk, black w/blue. in the colors TW offers in bulk

 

the color i have the most luck with (because i use it the most) is pumpkin w/black and green flake..

i like the orange(ish) color with the green flake...a good bluegill imitator.. imo..

you can throw any color you want as long as it is GreenPumpkin!

 

I only keep two colors of senkos, green pumpkin and black and blue.

 

with senkos I feel it is the "action" that drives them wild , not the color

Those are the only colors of senko i have ever owned lol...they work just as described!

I like watermelon w/black flake, green pumpkin, black w/blue flake and junebug.  I'm sure lots of other colors would work fine too, these are just the colors I stick with.  I've personally had zero luck with white however.  Tom

I have tried black, black neon, and black/blue numerous times and I can only recall one fish being caught. Almost every time I have then switched to GP and started catching fish. I don't know what it is, maybe the fish are bigots. This is clear water with 8-10' visibility down to muddy water with 3" visibility.

I will say the times I have done well on a black and blue senko is in the spring when fish are on beds... the water was "clear" 3 ft vis....black and blue looks a lot like our lizards around here.

I've tried a bunch of colors and they bang them all.  Now, I just buy whatever is on sale.  The last purchase was watermelon candy and I know they'll hit them too.  MY favorites are Junebug and Red Shad.

 

Whitebear is fairly clear, Bald Eagle would qualify as stained most of the time and dirty the rest.  I don't know how it looks right now though, but probably more clear than I've seen it.  Most of the lakes are staying more clear later into the season this year.  Hasn't gotten hot enough yet to bloom and all the rain is helping too.

My best color is a pumpkin with purple and green flakes and a chartreuse tail, not sure what it is called. The one color I never caught a bass on was the white one with silver flakes. It's probably because we have no shad here
