Nope, It's dumb to do in my opinion.

I can't say i would kiss the bass i caught. But then again, let me caught a 10 pounder and watch me pucker up lol.

No, but I do talk to them. I just caught my smallest bass of the season (10") and told it that it was purty, and then said "Now grow up" as I released it.

Kissed a bass once when I was younger and it wasn't pleasant. Very slimy. I doubt I'll ever doing it again unless it's a 10lber.

Sometimes I give them a sip of beer before I put 'em back...  You know, to put a little hair on their chest and whatnot

It's perfectly acceptable to "lip" bass.  Just don't tongue them.

Honestly, I've kissed several bass in the last few years, and in my experience as long as you don't use tongue, it isn't too unpleasant
