Rage Tail Menace Swim Jig Trailer

Featured Replies

Anyone use the Menace as a swimjig trailer? I've used it rigged with the tails horizontal but I'm gonna try it with the tails rigged vertically tomorrow. Seems like it would be a more natural presentation.

Anyone rig it this way?

I fish it vertically so it looks like a baitfish. Same with the Shellcracker.

The vertical Shellcracker is one of my "secret" baits.

Don't know why I haven't tried the Menace vertically.

Maybe getting old.

I think Mike, owner of Sieberts Jigs almost always uses the Ragetail Menace as his trailer.

Can someone post a pic of a vertical rigging?

Rigged vertical on a bladed jig they have incredible action, I'm sure it would be the same case with a swim jig.

The menace rigged vertically is AWESOME on a swim jig.

Does anyone else have a problem with these where when you rig them vertical sometimes the tail wont flap right, like one flap will wiggle and the other wont? I trimmed my jig a little to make sure the strands weren't interfering with the trailers action but it still happens every couple of baits.

And do any of y'all ever rig your rage craws vertical? I've never tried it but its my main trailer for swim jigs when rigged horizontally like normal.

Figured id ask this here instead of making a new thread.

Swimming I rig like this.

If I am hopping a swim jig on the bottom I rig it horizontal.

While I've haven't used them bass fishing...yet! They are absolute killer on Big Speckle Trout & Bull Reds down on the coast ;)

We're rigging them horizontal on a 3/8 oz jig, watermelon red with the tail dipped in Spike-It Garlic Glo Chartreuse
