I haven't bought since late summer or early fall but the December-January issue of Bass magazine has me itching pretty bad. Ive been resisting the urge to buy tackle to further "justify" a new kayak purchase in February or March.

Ordered another closeout Elite Tech Smallmouth casting rod from FFO tackle (6'10" MH-MF) on a sale right before Christmas. Also a reconditioned Pflueger President 6925 for my UL rod (which makes me one of the cool kids, I hear...). Under 100 together, shipped.

And a free gift of power worms? Yes, please!

Might as well feed my gift cards to the bait monkey.

I picked up two Lew's Tournament Pro reels, two 7'3" and 7' Duckett MMP rods, bunch of Seaguar fluoro and braid, bunch of assorted plastic worm and creature baits and another brush jig and vibe jig order from Mike. I have some gift cards for a new local shop that I plan to get some hard baits from when they stock fishing in February so I didn't get any hard baits.  Wanted to try the Sniper FC line, but couldn't pass up the TW sale. There wasn't any LC rods left that I was interested in by the time I checked remaining stock.

Because of the high praise here of the Mann's Jelly Worm's, I picked up a few packages.

First impression is it's a really nice bait. Seems well made. I LOVE the Brown trout pattern as well, but it would be a wall hanger for me, no trout around here but there sure is a lot of perch

Wow I probably only use 5 pks a season possibly 10... I guess I use a lot of other drop shot baits too. Like jackell, pro worm, zoom I probably go thur about 20 or so of jackell
