Hi, I'm Dubya.  I live in Northwestern Ontario and I've been fishing for sixty years, for trout, walleye, salmon, and smallmouth bass. I'd like to catch a largemouth someday, but we don't have them around here. These days I fish mostly up the Black Sturgeon Road, where there are a number of lakes as well as the Black Sturgeon River.

My grandparents taught me to fish. They were meat fishermen, which meant they piled everyone into the boat that could hold a rod. I was four years old when I first got piled into the boat, and the first fish I caught was a smallmouth bass. I loved it. I still do.

Greetings Dubya and Welcome to the forums :)

Glad to have you with us.

The secret to bass fishing is education.

Read books and magazines; read the posts on this site; get some DVDs about largemouth bass fishing; and speak to others who have fished for them.

So what ice hockey position did you play?
