I really do like starting a new reports thread, mostly because it means that I actually went fishing.

Since that's not happening anytime soon, I figured I'd throw one up just to stay in practice.

Don't really remember if any of these were actually on a Thursday or not but here's a green one & a brown one and just for the heck of it, a striped one.

And for those poor souls in the same boat, please feel free to pile on here - hopefully it will ease the pain a little.

Those are some mighty fine fish!

Nice fish!  I'll play along too since we're dodging snowstorms (flurries for you midwest guys) here in MD.

Not the biggest all year, but a great day on my favorite lake.  From day 1 of our club classic on Gaston of which I placed 2nd. :)

Largemouth and a nice sized Spot that rounded out a decent limit that day.

Heres me on a night fishing trip around 1978 . I would be about  nineteen years old in my new Skeeter 15 foot tri hull SS1 Fisherman .  I fished whenever  I could. The lure here is probably a black grape jelly worm. the reel is an Abu 4600c. The rod could be a fiberglass Lews speed stick . Good memories.

Beautiful fish!

Is that a hybrid striper or is that from saltwater?

And here's my PB from last year:

That's a Saltwater Real Deal Striper - East Coast - Southern New Jersey Shore model . . .

Spent several years chasing these guys up & down the East Coast - Good Times.

Good Eye

That's a fairly rare west coast jigging rod - I used to work in a tackle shop and ordered it from a dealers catalog.  Has no reel seat and is very heavy action - super stout - like a pool cue.    Worked perfectly for heaving the 3 ounce bucktails I fished.

This was a good Saturday afternoon for me high 60's low 70's over cast slight breeze. The one in the upper right smashed my fluke a foot from the transom scared the crap out me. Don't want to wish my life away but can't wait to get back out there.

Here is a picture of a close friends best smallie day of his life. This is the only 21" smallie I have ever seen that went over 7lbs. The 2nd picture is my wife's PB which she deserved to land after tripping over my tackle bag & falling on her butt. She managed to hang on to the rod & land the fish despite the fall.

A throwback from 2009, my biggest Kansas largemouth at 7lbs 14ozs. Taken on a red shad YUM wooly bug out of a brush pile on a tiny state lake. The only other boat on the lake had just finished fishing the pile I caught it out of, and they had some choice words for me for catching "their" fish. All I had for them was a cat that ate the canary grin :)
