As the title states - do you treat / approach these three above techniques with a different rod , reel and line set up ?

All 3 on a 7ft MH Fast 6:1 reel...line 12 or 20lb flouro depending on cover

I throw all these regularly 3/8-1/2 oz on a MH/F rod.  No difference in line.  I use floro leaders and my braid would be in the 30-40lb with 8-12 lb leader.  Usually on a 7 to 1 reel.  I'll normally use a 7' rod.

I use a 6'9" MH fast with 15 lb p-line cxx on a 7.1 reel

Don't use a chatterbait, but as far as the other 2 go:

 

Spinner Bait, Tautla 7' 2" MH/R, 12lbs fluorocarbon and a Tatula Type-R in 8.1:1

and

Swim Jigs, Tatula 7' 2" MH/R, 10lbs fluorocarbon and a Tatula Type-R in 8.1:1

All 3 on Dobyns Champion 734 with Chronarch D7 and 17lb Fluoro

It's a heavy powered Rod with a fast taper originally built for big spooks but soooooo much more than that. My favorite all purpose rod.

The line can change depending on where I'm fishing.

I generally use a 7' MF for a 3/8 swim jig. It's an Avid, though, so it is closer to a MH. For both chatter baits and spinner baits, I'll generally use a 6'9" or 7 MH F or XF. All my baitcasters are spooled with 30lb power pro and a 12lb flouro leader.

7 foot mh with a 7:1.1 reel and 12 pound test

DX 744 with a Shomano Curado 200i HG spooled with either 16lb sunline Sniper or 15lb izorline xxx-for chatterbaits and spinnerbaits (chatterbaits replced swimjigs for me)

Megabass Orochi XX spinnerbait special, Curado I HG, 30# braid for all three.

A 6'6" +/- intermediate modulus mh/f rod, 6.x:1 reel spooled with 30# braid fluoro leader as needed for abrasion resistance based on cover.

Bladed jig and spinnerbait are both fished on a 6' 6" MH/F LTB with a 6.4:1 Lew's Speed Spool with 15lb Big Game.

 

Swim jigs are fishes on a 6' 9" MH/F Ethos with a E7 Curado and 50lb Sufix.

A few observations :

1 ) It appears many are more apt to move a swim bait a little faster through the water thus a 7:1:1 gear ratio reel (versus say a spinnerbait) .

2 ) A football jig outfit I already have ( 7' MH  rod , 7:1:1 reel with #15lb. InvisX ) could double nicely as a swim jig set up.

Chatterbait and spinnerbait on the same rig. 6'-6" MH/F, 6.3 to 1 Abu 5600 C4. Spooled with 15# Big Game.

Swim Jig is on a 6'-6" MH/F, 7 to 1 Curado 200 E7.  Spooled with 15# Big Game.

Hey bluebasser how do you like the ethos rods for swimjigs?

The 6' 9" MH/F is an awesome swim jig rod. I've been impressed with all their rods that I've owned, great rods for the money. I pretty much bought the rod just to learn how to fish swim jigs and it's had braid on it the entire time and has even down some flipping water willows and it's held up just fine.

I like my Wright and McGill Rick Clunn glass rods for bladed jigs.  It allows the fish to really eat the bait.  15 pound flouro cause the rod has enough "stretch".  Good luck.

Blades and chatterbaits on Dobyn's 743 Extreme, 30 lb braid, and mono leader 12 to 17lb test. My swim jigs are on a old 71/2 tele flippin stick, 50lb braid with 20lb mono leader. My swim jigs are usually 3/4 oz, and I throw them into real thick stuff.

If I can get away with it I will always throw swimbaits/jigs ect on something more parabolic. It makes a big difference.

keep in mind that I fish heavy grass and murky water most of the time so I can get away with heavy braided line.

All 6'6" mh fast. 15 lb mccoy extra clear or pline cxxx. 6.4:1 gear ratio. Most of the time you are target casting.casting to laydowns, docks, stumps, or reeds. Shorter rods are usually ideal for this.

It appears more people will use a similar set up for a bladed jig / chatterbait as they will for a spinnerbait .

For a swim jig almost everyone is going to a faster gear ratio / more heavy duty set up due to swim jigs being thrown in or near vegetation .

 

Previously ,   I never considered the set up I use for a football jig (7' MH XF rod / 7:1 gear ratio / #15lb. InvizX FC ) would be ideal for a long cast  swim jig duty  while my spinnerbait set up (6'10" MH XF 6:4:1 gear ratio / #16lb. Sunline Super Natural) set up is better suited to a bladed jig / chatterbait  set up throwing to more specific targets. For a football jig swim jig cast - I'm trying to bomb it for long casts and covering water !
