50lb or 65lb Braid?

Either will work. I don't throw it much but when I do it's on 50 lb

Yep, either.

20lb yo zuri hybrid

50lb braid or 25lb Trilene 100% fluoro

+1

I'm currently using 65# S8S but I've also used 20 & 25# CXX with very good results. I'm actually leaning toward the CXX as I don't seem to be getting the same number of bites using braid. The braid is much easier to live with though.

I have a friend who uses 50# PP with no issues so far, I'm just afraid that a backlash with 50 will result in my rig sailing into the great beyond.

25 lb. P-Line CXX is my go-to line for a-rigs.

Agree with all of the above, really. I'm finding myself going lighter these days if I can get away with it for the particular weight of the rig. 17lb to 25 lb mono leaders on 50lb braid.

I use to do braid with alabama rigs but I switched out to 25lb mono instead. I like that better. But as far as 50 vs 65lb braid I think either of the two would be fine.

20-25 pound copolymer, although it is entertaining when it's someone else's rig that's arching across the lake no longer attached to a line because they were fishing with braid and got a backlash  :eyebrows:
