I'm looking for some baits similar to the Reaction Innovations dippers to try out. What I'm after are baits with the slit in the belly like the dippers. I've been hammering the walleye since last fall with these rigged on a swarming hornet.

The Big Bite Baits Cane Thumper is pretty close. 

Exactly what I was going to say. That and Bobby Lane's Grass Pig from Berkley.

Yamamoto 4.5" Heart Tail Shad Swimbait very nice bait.

 

 

I'd also take a look at Megastrike Fat Shad.  Off top of my head, I'm not sure about belly slit, but I'm fairly certain there's a good top slit, because they work really well on weighted hooks.

Check out the Gambler Big EZ.

It doesn't have a deep channel per se but it does have a deep slit on the top

that the hook point lays into.

It's just not covered as much as on the Skinny Dipper.

Try the Keitech Fat swing impacts.  They are amazing.

X2 on the Gambler. If you're putting it on a Swarming Hornet, the slit shouldn't be necessary. If you feel you need a slit, use a knife. Grass Pigs are O.K. but don't work so good when you slow them down. Gamblers also have better color selection and will not break your bank.

Try the Keitech Fat swing impacts. They are amazing.

X3 on keitech. Have had great results with walleyes and smallies. Jig head with slow steady retrieve.

Only bad thing is the get beat up quickly.

Alright. Ordered some Keitech fat swing impacts and Keitech easy shiners. This should get me started. Going to try the Evolve Darkstar swimmer and Sawamura one ups next go round.

My god on the Keitechs any more. Those and the ned rig are everywhere. It's kinda funny that neither of those are new at all but for some reason this year it's the talk of the town. Keitechs are good baits though and they work. I wouldnt say they are the best though.

bass pro Swim Sally is more buoyant than the skinny dipper, softer, and has better color imo, exact same size and design, but you will notice the softer body, and it get's great reviews from anyone who throws it..Not as Durable as the Skinny dipper, but better action hands down and they offer some really good colors, I like the 3.5" the best. The Charlie's worms zipper dipper is the exact same bait if you don't have a BPS near your home, just like they share the Humpin toad, they are super soft, and exact same design as the skinny dipper, just softer and more buoyant which is kind of Charlie's marketing line, buoyant soft baits...

The Lake Fork Live Magic Shad has worked well for me on a Hornet jig .
