  • Caught my first SM of the year today! Probably a pound and a half. It was my first ever sight fish and it was the first fish I caught on a jig I tied myself. 3/8 oz. arkie in a brown craw w/ a SK Baby

Wow great smallie to start the year!

I catch my first smallies every year on a 2" paddle tail on a 1/4oz football head jig.

And, on the few I have left, I bought 300 after yum decided not to make the 3" yum dingers.

A 3" yum dinger rigged weightless, baby bass color, on a wide gap hook, it's a killer.

Wish Yum would bring the 3" yum dingers back, best Small mouth bait I've

ever used.

1/4 oz. Jig with zoom salty chunk trailer

Livingston EBS technology with sounds. Caught smallies, rock bass, white bass, walleye, and a pike on Lake St. Clair- Michigan this past Saturday. Versatile lure. 9 fow. 68 degree water. Overcast - 70 degrees.

Saturday, May 9 (MN bass opener) -- Third cast of the year using a Zoom Speed Worm (Watermelon Red) without the paddletail -- 3lb 4oz, 17.5"

Probably my first one was on a nightcralwer. I think it was around 1 to 2 pounds.

Dragged a 5 inch watermelon candy senko at Table Rock Lake in MO. Smallies love this color. Popped up a 4 lb on my first cast of the season.

3rd cast with a KVD 1.5 in sexy shad...never used a squarebill for smallies before and was delighted to see they're just as effective as they are for largemouth.

Don't know size (I seldom measure or weigh), but call it 15"- 16".  It was on a orange Yamamato Hula grub on a 5/16 oz. stand up jig head.

Rapala Shadow Rap Jerkbait. .

1) Rapala Countdown CD5 Rainbow Trout while trout fishing (3lbs)

2) Rapala Husky Jerk HJ08 FireTiger while walleye fishing (4.5lbs)

3) Rapala Rattlin Rap Gold while bass fishing (3lbs)

I feel the same way about the 3" YUM Mighty Bug.  I love that bait and only have a couple left.

Yep, I bought all the 3" Yum Dingers I could find, I maybe have 50 left, so I know what you mean Steveo!

I could have sworn I read somewhere that they were bringing back the 3" Dinger....can't remember where I read that though.

About ~8 years ago I stocked up on 3" Senkos after landing my PB largemouth on one.  If that size Senko is discontinued I'll be heartbroken.

Get the 3'' yama senko, even though it`s more $$$ it`s worth it for better quality and color selection.
