You going to buy it? :eyebrows:

I had no idea Mercury Marine dabbled in the auto industry

WOW!!!

It's a pretty garage queen, once you go north of 1000hp it's not really street able even with those 345's

I'll race it for pinks...

Stunning in many ways, but to me it looks a little like an elephant on a uni cycle. The wheels look too small for the body. I would like a little less lowering and a little more rubber for a better balance, but that's just me.

I love cars. I love American muscle cars even more.

"Redlinerobert" is one helluva handle. just sayin'

I bet that sucker does some serious burnouts.

Earned many years ago. :)

I had a good friend that died 22 years ago that loved everything Mopar.  I think he just sat up in his grave.

That's one sweet ride! I, like Tim, think it needs a little more meat under those rims though.

I have a place in my heart for the '70 Dodge Charger.  One of these days.  Not like this one, but perhaps not too far off. :)

I know we have talked about it in the past.  1969/71 Chevelle custom. 69 front grill/71 rear lights. Something along these lines.  Probably the LTA supercharged drivechain.....

I think I remember them making some engine component (or entire block?) for a fairly recent Corvette at one time...  I might be mistaken.

EDIT TO ADD:  I just finished reading the article.  Mercury made the engine for some 'vettes in the '90s.

That is nuts Jeff.  Write the check. :)

Mercury uses 2.9 and 4.3 along with 350 chevy engines in a majority of there I/B drives for lots of boat companys

That is one sweet Charger.  I grew up in the era of great muscle cars and had the chance to own a few...  '69 Camaro, '68 Camaro convertible, and '71 Chevelle.

It's funny that you can walk into most any brand auto dealership these days and buy a 4- or 5- or 6- or even 700+HP muscle car, but I have no desire to.  The old ones make my heart race, though!

Tight lines,

Bob
