Who would you fish with for a day?

Featured Replies

Gerald swindle. I just feel like I relate more to him than any other pro on the tour.

  • My dad or my grandfather. Because neither can fish anymore and we had great memories fishing when I was a kid.

  • Probably at least a couple dozen Bass Resource Members! Why? Why not!

  • None of them, famous bass fishermen don't impress me too much. I'd rather fish with guys from here, or my buddies. My dream day of bass fishing is when my kids get old enough/interested enough to

I have been blessed to fish with Matt Allen, Arden Hanline Jr, and Ron Casner already; so next on my wish list is Arden Hanline Snr! For those of you not familiar with him he had the #4 biggest bass ever caught back in the 80s. He mainly fishes Southern California lakes. He never posts up pictures of himself instead just lets them go happy with himself as he just loves to catch fish and have fun. g man

Can't believe it hasn't gone this route yet....

ive got a few

brooke thomas- shouldn't need a explanation

fly fishing with rebeka redd or April vokey Also no explanation of why but they both are exceptional fisher women.

Bow fishing with Jaclynn crooks- perfection right there.

on a more serious note I'd say Ike or Zona

Gerald Swindle for sure. But if you catch 1 more fish then him he's gonna flip out.

Mercer

just too much fun!

Probably Ike seems like he would be fun to hang out with.

I think it would be funny to have a day in the boat with Biffle.

It'd have to be either Jimmy Houston or Gerald Swindle. Both great guys. I've met Jimmy quite a few times now. Crazy thing is the second time I saw him he remembered me by name and I hadn't seen him for a year. Maybe it amazes me more since I've forgotten peoples name within minutes after we've been introduced haha He's a great down to earth guy though. Swindle is just a hoot. The guy could have a career in stand up if he wanted.

I think if I got to fish with her and she wore what she does in most of her pics I'd have a very hard time concentrating on fishing!

I would pick Bill Dance because I really enjoy his show but when it comes down to it - I would have to pick Jimmy Houston because every time I turn his show on he's laughing and acting like he's having a great time.

my dad who passed away in august of last year  why because he got me started in bassfishing

There's a lots of good folks to pick from, but for me I'd have to say Matt Allen hands down!:D

The Dalai Lama, if he agrees.

+1 for the Dalai.

Gentleman George Cochran in shallow water. Git er done. Or Guido Hibdon big bass on light line and small plastics with patience and timing.

A couple come instantly to mind

Brent Ehrler (the guy is a finesse fishing prodigy but also one of the most diverse and talented anglers I've ever seen.)

Brandon Paulunick (because he's from my neck of the woods and is somewhat of a local hero.)

Doug Stange (who wouldn't want to fish with the multi-species king?!?)

Scott Martin (Scott has so much fun fishing aside from competing and he let's it show, I bet he'd be blast in the boat.)

Aaron Martens (he is and will remain my all time favorite fisherman, and he has so many hilarious compulsions and neuroses that I'd want to witness in person lol)

Got paired with Larry Nixon on day 1 of the Bass 25th anniversary tournament,  Ken Cook twice on Lake of the Ozarks all tremendous learning experiences.

Bill Dance for sure. If not him Mark Daniels Jr.

I just found out about Mark Daniels through the FLW circuit breaker. The guy looks like a blast to hangout with.

Yeah man. He seems like a super great guy. Phenomenal fisherman too. I found out about him through the circuit breakers too. Have no idea how he isn't bigger than he is. He's only been fishing the tour a few years and got a top ten at the Forrest Wood Cup. He will be one of the legends some day for sure.

My buddy Preston back in Michigan we always had a great time just being on the water. He's the only person I know that even if we get skunked he still understands the value of just being.on the water like I do. That's muh boy haha.

If we're talking pros here I'd have to go, in preference order, with either 1) Ike or 2) Scott Martin. Their enthusiasm, especially Ike's, and knowledge amps me up just watching their videos. I can't imagine actually being with them! If we're talking non-pros, anyone of my family members. They're all obsessed just like me.

I'd pick Mark Daniels jr. Mainly because the guy seems super laid back and fun plus he really knows his stuff.

I'd spend the day with Matt Allen. He's a toad catcher!
