I wanted to hang some of my lures from my storage compartments, so i cut down some plastic Drywall corner angles, which work great because they have a load of holes to hang things. My lids are lined with some type of material or thin carpet so, I used double stick Carpet tape.  It seemed to work, but when I got in my boat to load up for a fishing day tomorrow, most had fallen off.  I can't screw them in because my lids are to thin, so if anyone has done this, what kind of glue works? 

I would just cut out a section where you want the hangers, with a razor knife,then peel or scrape the thin layer off. Clean it up, then id use the RED 3M tape and stick it to the drywall corners,then place theme on your lid. Press them on good, wait 24 hour, and i think youd be good to go. Good luck

I'd probably use pop rivets if it were mine.

 Test your loop fabric on the lids with a piece of Velcro hook.  Most loop type materials holds Velcro very well.    Just stick the adhesive Velcro hook to the back of the drywall edging.  You will be able to take them off and move them around if my guess is correct.

I like the idea...I used corrugated plastic in a similar application...I attached it with heavy duty Velcro...I  leave the lures on the plastic until they dry, then pull off the whole strip and drop the lures in their boxes.

I also hung some of the same at the edge of the boat.

The compartment cover lids should have strengthening ribs gussets under the insulation that you can use sheet metal screws to fasten whatever you want to the inside of the lids.

I would try 3m high strength double sided tape. You can get 45lb per square inch tape that will stay on virtually forever.

I'll see if I can find that at Home Depot

It's unlikely that any kind of adhesive is going to stick to that trunk liner type of looped fabric. Did you try to stick a piece of  Velcro hook directly to it? That fabric is made just like the fuzzy side of Velcro.  That usually works great and will hold a lot of weight.

I didn't know it was fabric. My lids are smooth plastic underneath. 

warrior1, great idea to use those drywall corner angles to hang your spinner baits.  Much more versatile than the commercial product.  IMO, if you want to move them, obviously Velcro is the way to go.  If you want a more permanent solution, the 3M double sided tape as mention by KDW96 and Bass newb is gonna be the ticket.  It's what"s been securing my "Pro Stow Tackle Management System" in my boat since it was new.  A heat gun or hair dryer will take care of removal...
