Sure, it can work.  I used it for a time.  But, I MUCH prefer braid.

I use 12-pound p line cxx and it works great

I used this for years in 15lb until I switched to Flourocarbon.  Its a great line.

Yep I'll be doing it again this weekend. My Toledo bend confidence setup is a mh fast rod 12 pound cxx and one of your dredge brush jigs in Okeechobee craw,  hammered them on it last year

I think a lot of us just like experimenting with different lines. If you were just looking for a single brand for everything, my recommendation is Yo-Zuri Hybrid #6 for spinning gear, #12 for baitcasting. Other lines I like are Izorline #10, P-Line #10, Seaguar Tatsu #12, Sunline Defier Armilo #10 and Tuf-Line Tournament 8 (braid) #40 with a fluorocarbon leader.

I like the Gamma line and I think you can get it at TW.

I use 15lb Izorline works great.

x2 on the 15lb Izorline XXX

Oh yeah! 14 will be fine. Only real reason people use such high pound line with jigs is for abrasion resistance. Just check line frequently for scuffs and fraying then retie.

I use the lightest line that allows me to get a good hook with the hook size and wire diameter the jig has, then be able to control the bass in whatever cover type the strike occur in.

14 lb mono/copolymer line is way too heavy for 1/8 dart head jig and marginal for flipping heavy cover. I use 10 to 16 lb FC for most of my deep structure lake fishing with sparse cover, 60 lb braid for heavy cover without a leader. No reason to use a leader with braid, if you use a leader that should be your main line!

Tom

I use copolymer for almost anything. Just what I do lol
