Featured Replies

Hey guys..ever since I got the fever a couple of months ago and as I learn more I've been spending more. I just logged off BPS with a total of $378.58 on all tackle. No rods..no reels. I have the shakes right now waiting for my package to come in next week. :o

I try to buy a little hear and a little there.  I have chosen to force my last hog wild shopping spree out of my mind but I'm sure my wife remembers. ;D

I think I came home with a Daiwa Zillion, a G. Loomis MBR844, 10 or so Lucky Craft Lures, and 15 bags of Senkos.  The details are still fuzzy but I still have the lump on my head from my wife.

$94 Today... Most ever at once?  $400 at BPS in Orlando...

Many thousands $ at my Triton Boat dealer.

Oh boy way am I allways at the top end of this stuff.

$700 BPS Atlanta on the way to Florida. 1 hr. 15 mintues.

$900 BPS Springfield Spring Fever and $300 at Wally World Springfield same trip mostly crappie stuff at .25 and .50 people were looking from the back of the line.

Then I replace all my rods and reels about every 5-6 years thank god I get the deal 20 rods and reels I like sets of 4.

Theres more but I'm not thinking about it.

I'm sure my wife remembers. ;D

Amen to that brother.  For me about $200 at BPS.  She'll never forget, I believe my wife has a running tally and knows what my tackle is collectively worth at any given moment.

583.00 at Bass Pro.  New sunglasses, 3 combos, P-line for the combos and some assorted tackle.

Unless they have a really good sale, I'd say around $20 each trip.

Well my grandfathewr passed away two years ago and left me an inheritance, and he always told me to spend money on things I love. $53,562.23, 21 foot ranger, 10 VARIOUS loomis and croix rads, and a reel or five :o Haha also included in that was more soft plastics then i will EVER use Oh well i was tired of fishing tourney's off the back of the boat and my grandather would be happy right now.  Bass Pro really appreciates my business haha.

$250 two days ago at the BPS in Atl, Ga.  Touney special for my abu garcia 5500c3 and another catfish combo.  Bout everything i needed for my boat.  Rod saver, live well airator, another anchor, line, sunglasses.  Dang i was there for 3 hours and i still didnt want to leave.  I wasnt finished! But hey its something i love, its worth the money

just for lures and other tackle   probably 2grand, in about  7 hours      90 percent of it hasnt seen water yet :-/

When I go occasionally to buy some new baits at sports authority or some other retail store I usually spend atleast 20$. But the most Ive ever spent on baits was probably the time I went to cabelas. I think it was somewhere between 160-180$. Many times I spend too much money on baits after catching fish with them. For example, If I make a trip and catch 4 bass on a buzzbait, the next day or so I'll go out and buy 6 different colors/sizes of buzzbaits and spend around 40$. If I go out one day and do good with soft plastic frogs. I'll head to a store or place an order and buy 4 more packs of different colors etc another 40$. And the thing thats irritating is they usually won't work as good as they did the day they were nailin em. But hey, If im going to spend my money on something I rather it be fishing gear than food or drinks or cds or movies or any other luxury item. Fishing comes first! :o

$5 for a tackle box full of lures, hooks, and worms at the flea market. But most of the time I just use the worms people throw out of their boats at the ramp when they leave.

:)

BassFishingMachine - If you truly like topwater you ought to try out a few packs of these:

They will put fish in the boat. :o

$939 after 20% discount @ BPS.  Wasn't all tackle.  But can you really ever have enough?  The monkey says no!

Probably about 200$ at my local sporting goods store when I bought my ALL STAR rod, a reel, and some baits.

What little bit of real estate that I have between my ears is too important to waste on remembering the most I've ever spent on fishing equipment.   :o
