Double on a Texas rig

Featured Replies

Anyone ever get a double on a Texas rig? Managed it a few days ago and blew my mind. One hook two fish, my guess was the bigger bass tried to eat the little bass not so much the bait since it was so far in the smaller ones mouth. Hook came out the gill plate and hooked the bigger one.

Might never see that ever again!  Wow!

There aren't many firsts to be had any more....but gosh you might have yourself one there, that's amazing.

Craziest thing I've ever seen. The odds of that are so stupid low! Amazing

Doubt any of us will ever see that again. That pretty awesome.

Might be time to buy that lottery ticket.

Hats off sir, hats off!

My buddy did that on a senko one time, fish tried to eat the bait out of the others mouth!

Good job

We had another member do that last year I believe but I can't remember exactly who. I've had a bunch of doubles on treble hooked baits, but never on a single hook, that's crazy.

1. Super weird, and congrats. 2. What is that spinning rod? I don't normally dig foam, but those are some cool looking grips.

Not sure if either account counts as the other fish weren't hooked, but my friend caught a bass once that had a smaller bass in it's mouth, and inside the smaller basses mouth was a minnow. Technically a double since he caught the second bass, but like I said it wasn't hooked.

I had a double on a single hook as well as I hooked into a smallmouth and while I was reeling it in a musky attacked it. Managed to get them both into the boat eventually. I got a little bit of sketchy video with my phone. I didn't think I had a chance to get it in the boat, so I pulled my phone out, but I was busy watching what was going on and not on where to point my phone so I kind of sucks. I still don't think it was as impressive as yours since the one was just extra hungry haha.

I hope you bought a lottery ticket after luck like that
