Just hit the wire, Rams fire Jeff Fisher.<real>

In other news, the Bills are reportedly interested in him
as Wrex Wryan's replacement...<satire>

And the rest of the NFC West sighs..

He is the face of mediocrity in the NFL. Didn't deserve an extension in the first place.

Totally agree...

Now about our Bills...<smacks head on table repeatedly>

you know your management team and ownership absolutely sucks when you give the coach an extension, then fire him 1 week later, for doing the same thing he has done all along.

I have no sympathy for a team that will leave its fan base and then have the nerve to go back :tsk-tsk:

Saw that on CBSSports today...can't imagine he'd leave
his great job at Michigan... but who knows.

The firing was well overdue. People have been wondering for the last 3 seasons how long will it be before the ownership cans Fisher.

Apparently the extension happened in the offseason..they just waited to make it public.

the only problem with that great job in Michigan is that he has to play Ohio State every year!!!! :D

Can't see him leaving a good thing in Seattle.

But what do I know?

If the Rams offered him an obscene amount of money, I think he'd consider it.  Then Paul Allen would reach in his sofa for spare change and match it.  :P

The old leverage a job interview for a raise trick...

Fisher probably asked to be fired . One more loss and he would be the losing-est coach of all time . As a former season ticket holder all I can say " what took so long? " .  He gives up too easily . 3rd and 15 , he would run the ball almost  every time . Punt then let the defense take over .  He wouldnt even try to get a first down . He  would make a fine Junior high school coach .

No way the Rams pay him what Michigan is paying him. Plus they wouldn't give him the control he would have to have to run the team his way.

That being said,as a die hard Buckeye fan I would LOVE to see Harbaugh leave Michigan cause at some point in the future he's going to be trouble for the Bucks.

Yeah. I really want to like him as a coach.

As a man, he's fun, playful, full of intrigue.

As a coach. Head coach. No. No. Just... No.

Redline, I can't see him leaving Michigan, where he is king and is doing so well.

He has done the NFL job and knows he will never be in full control. My guess is Rams will get an offensive coordinator from a team and hope he works out.

It was just a question on when.

I think the money is on John Gruden to leave ESPN

for the LA Rams job.
