Candlewood Lake, CT. - Petition Help

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Asking all my fellow anglers to please help us out. Once again 'they' are planning more destruction to Candlewood. Completely out of control! Many of the BassResource family have helped make a difference in the past with several petitions for issues both B.A.S.S and the general fishing community have faced in CT. We all greatly appreciate anyone helping out and signing this petition. Donation not required!

Thanks!!!

signed. I've always wanted to go there being relatively close. My local lake got sprayed a couple years back and it killed off a lot of the weedlines so some of the spots, especially from shore just don't produce anymore unfortunately.

Four of the lakes I fish were treated early last season.. I won't bother going back for another year or two.

The University of RI is behind these programs. Last season there was about 30 students and a few Idiot professors at my favorite lake. They were taking water and weed samples. I was so ticked to see them there I couldn't hold my tongue.

Left them all speechless....... Haven't seen them since.

Signed. You wouldn't think that people would willingly ruin what is an economic plus for the region. I know that tournaments have been run on that lake. Maybe if someone contacts local and regional BASS clubs to put some added pressure. Maybe the tournament directors would inform the powers-that-be that the tournaments will be moved to other areas if they proceed with the poisoning.

Signed it.  Love Candlewood Lake.. wishing you guys the best of luck over their in Western CT!

Signed. And thanks for the heads up!

goes well for you guys in CT!

I live in CT and although I do not fish Candlewood often, I know many who do.  It needs to be protected.  Signed.
