Swinging Jig Head

Featured Replies

I am going to a lake this weekend where I feel cranking rock with a 3/4oz swinging football head will be a good option.  What baits do you have confidence in?

I was thinking ribbon tail worms, rage tail structure bug, and about most baits.  But anything you find works better than others.

Give the rage menace a shot ! Last year when I visited Michigan we were fishing some sand flats with sparse vegetation and the menace was the meal ticket on a swinging jighead.

I think the Biffle Bug was designed pretty much to be reeled in slowly along the bottom.  If Tommy Biffle can stay on tour doing that, you should give it a shot!

I love to throw this 10" floating worm from KC Injection baits. Stop your retrieve & the worm floats up on the swing head. The strikes can be vicious at times.

Fat impact with tail dipped in chartruse as long as water isn't muddy

Keitech Crazy Flapper is my most productive bait on it. When I'm trying to find a kicker I use a Rage Anaconda or a 12" lizard.

Anything that wiggles a lot will work.

Biffle bug for sure.  Structure bug is also good.

I like Chigger craws, and Havoc Pit Bosses.

This is a new mold that I poured/injected last night. It is new for this year and I can't wait to try it on a swing head.

If your lake happens to by Black Hills Lake Seneca or Piney Run Reservoir then use a smallie beaver or something similar.

Technically it's a reservoir (Kerr).

We shall see.
