According to Berkley on their bags of baits, "Fish bite and won't let go".  They also have a graph showing fish hold on up to 18x's longer then other baits.  In my experience fish hold on to Berkley baits longer then other products but just by a small amount of time.  I'm curious on everyone elses experience.  I'm not specifying any particular bait, just the scent Berkley build into every bait.  Do you love it/hate it/don't care, just curious on any info everyone has, as this really has been on my mind lately. Do anyone think Berkley baits in general outfish other brands, based on scent?  

I have used there power bait chigger craws and caught fish on em.There a good bait and i dont think scent can be a bad thing.Sometimes it might make a difference.Anything to cover our scent is helpful.They are worth a try for sure.

Their Gulp! Alive! Scent is incredible and the best on the market from my experience. I even use the Alive! Shad scent on my cat fishing bait........... shhhhh. Berkeley has done a great job with their scents and is probably why I have more confidence with a PowerWorm than any ribbontail brands 

I have been fishing with Berkley power bait infused plastics since they first came out. It's no marketing ploy. Fish will hold onto those baits for a long time, and it works just as good now, as it did over 20+ years ago when they first came out. I don't know for a fact if it creates more bites, I think it does. And on a tuff day when bites are hard to come by, and often very subtle, I'll take all the help I can get. I find Megastrike to be very similar. Fish will hold a bait rubbed down with Megastrike for a long time too. I use that on any baits that are not infused with the power bait formula.

X2 ~  Berkley Powerbait is the real deal - and at an 'extra' cost of around 15 cents a bait - it's well worth it. 

Certainly not magic but if you're Not using Megastrike - this is the next best thing.

I remember when they first came out, and we would laugh at how long they'd hold onto the baits before dropping them.  Sometimes they never dropped them.

So the general consensus is Berkley baits are widely believed to make bass hold on to a bait longer then other brands.  Megastrike also helps.  I figured as much,as I do very well with the Chigger Craws.  Thanks

I have had a fish carry around a Chigger Craw while I worked out a backlash. When I finally got it out the fish was buried in a laydown and I had paddle over to the tree and dig it out. I've caught quite a few fish on these that i probably shouldn't have. Big bass will sometimes bite and just sit still. So you don't know they're there until you pull and they bull back. The fact that they don't spit it out tells me a lot.

Must be good.  I left 4 unopened bags in my car overnight and it was a little stinky in the morning.
