Rod cover advice

Featured Replies

I am at the tail end of my time here in the US before heading back to Canada. The one thing that I have forgotten to buy which was on my list were some rod covers. I had wanted to try some TRC covers but I am only here for another week and ordering anything online won't get to me before I leave.

This leaves me with the only option of buying something from a retail store. Are the Rod Glove covers my best option? I see that Academy is selling them for $4.99. I have read that most don't like the BPS ones and the ones that I saw on Cabela's website are $8.99 but not sure if they are better.

Any advice and or other recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I use The Rod Glove ones and they have done an excellent job for me every time that I go out.  Don't forget to pick up some lure wraps too.

I lime them, but they can really catch the wind.

My buddy lost an expensive rod down the highway that was run over by a couple cars

Where in canada are you from?

You can get Rod Gloves here for about the same price once you factor in the exchange.  I have the mesh type and the neoprene type. Both have their merits.

Send me a PM and I can help with your selection

Sail sells rod gloves

Don't have a Sail near me, but also didn't see them listed on their website. Any idea how much they are?

Check out the original Stick Jacket colors.  Available in Casting, XL Casting, Spinning, Big Game 6, BG7, BG Magnum, ICE & Micro.

I really like my rod gloves. I also have reel gloves as well to keep boat rash to a minimum and couldn't recommend them enough.

Thanks for the suggestion. I see from their website they list a retailer in OKC that sells them. I will check them out.
