I know there are other factors involved like water clairity, depth, etc.. i’m just curious as to what everyone starts with when the water is in each of these ranges..

40s jerkbait

50s jig

60s bladed jig

70s squarebills / spooks

80s frogs / flipping

90s deep cranks / ribbon tail

Jig. May not be the best for very situation for some, but for me it is.

Tube. Only the rigging and retrieves change. Once I'm on fish I might change to a jig.

40's, N/A our water doesn't get this cold.

50's, Pre spawn; jigs and trout swimbaits, winter ice jigs, spoons and jigs.

60's, Spawn, jigs, worms and bluegill swimbaits, fall structure spoon, crankbaits, jigs and worms.

70's, whatever the bass want.

80's, mid summer; nights, big worms and jigs, rat wake baits, days surface early, finesse during the days

90's, N/A, our water doesn't get this hot.

Yup. That too! My simple answer, "Tube", works but Ned's and small swimbaits make an appearance on the business end of my line quite a bit.

I hope you choke on one of the bean sprouts on your non GMO organic avocado salad, or get burned by one of the hot stones on spa day,...dude...

I don't adjust what I throw by 10 deg increments.

That would drive me nuts if bass in my waters are that sensative and susceptible to such a narrow range. 

 

I throw plastics all year round but will change the length, action and retrieve as the water cools.
