What's Your Favorite Reel Company?

Shimano>diawa>lews=abu>quantum imo

Shimano, and it ain't close.

I have been a Shimano man for 20+ years and still have a number of old Calcuttas, Chronarchs and Curados

that still see weekly duty. That being said, I also have a number of modern Lews and Daiwas that I am very impressed with. All three are currently making excellent reels but in the end, I always look to Shimano first.

I drive a Ford. My wife drives a Jeep. I prefer the brown one.

Shimano spinning. No doubt.

Shimano and Daiwa baitcasting.

Shimano or Daiwa only. No other manufacturers compare.

Used to be Pflueger but I've switched to Lew's reels.

I own Shimano and Daiwa . Both make good reels but I like Daiwa better.

For spinning reels, I'm partial to Daiwa and Pflueger. For casting, I like Daiwa and Shimano for their brakes, although I haven't got to try out the Pflueger Supreme XT I got for my kid yet (I hear great things though).

So probably Daiwa. Maybe Pflueger.

Shimano, Daiwa or BPS

I gotta go with Lew's..I used to always get Shimano, but since I started fishing a lot more and putting my gear to use Shimano doesn't seem to last quite as long..

Tried one Abu and hated it..

Thinking about trying out a daiwa.. hear a lot of good things about the reels and company..
