So these pics are almost 6 years apart...   he's eaten up with fishing and driving!   I'm thinking he'll be the best fishing partner yet!!

(yep, same old boat, same young driver!)

Outstanding.

Thanks for sharing.

He will be a great partner and you can speak with him about values, good vs. bad, thinking through issues, safe driving, dating, cars, other topics of the day, and of course, fishing.

You have a fantastic opportunity to have a direct impact on his life.

Congrats!

Yes they do grow fast. It seems like yesterday my son had his Spongebob pole. Last week he graduated from a spincast to a spinning combo. Next time I blink he'll have baitcasters piled up in the boat and pitching grass and skipping docks.

Enjoy your fishing buddy! I do.

Thanks, and yes it sure does!  My in-laws warned me when he was born, to pay attention because the days can seem to drag on but the years fly by!  It's so true!

My wife has found a renewed desire to go out on the boat...  I guess she's not ready for us to have too much "guy time" just yet!  (or more likely- she's not ready to cut the cord!)

Absolutely!  TIme on the water is open time to listen, talk and teach.... except when they are schooling- then it's all business for him!!

Never known a guy who's dad took him fishing that turned out bad.

This kid is pre-approved for a mortgage, and house shopping.  Crazy.

That's awesome!  Hey- what kind of life vest is that- I'm having trouble finding one he can fish in, comfortably.

I may not be lucky or unlucky, depending on your stance....  mine said he's never moving out! But if I make him leave after college he said he'll build a house in between ours and Nana's which is about 100yds away!  ...lol  I'm sure he'll change his mind in the teen years though!

Nice to see you back, Keith. Looks like young Jack is a chip off the old block.
