Lake Baccarac Lodge In Mexico

Featured Replies

This thread getting posted in recently has given me the chance to ask a question. Let's say I'm interested in going one day and I have a wife who likes to fish, but might want to NOT fish every day.

How nice is the lodging? Is the food good? Are there things to do for guests not out fishing?

Aka should I just do this as a special solo trip or not.

The lodge accomodations & food are all good. Updated bathrooms & modern wall a/c's in each room. If your wife doesn't fish she will be limited to other activities because there are none except chilling, reading or just taking it easy. The lodge is semi isolated & located on a steep hill top overlooking the water.

There is plenty for you wife to do. She can put new line on your reels, sharpen hooks, organize tackle, edit video, make a photo album of your daily catches, email your bass fishing buddies with daily updates and pictures, listen to your stories, message your aching muscles, and tip the staff.

There is NOTHING for a non-fisher person to do while the anglers are all out on the lake.

I repeat nothing.

Do you & your wife a solid and either leave her home or find a different place to go where she can actually enjoy herself on YOUR trip?

Maybe even find a different place to fish and go with another couple.

Guys go fishing—ladies go? Whatever they do—shop, spa, whatever.

Lake Baccarac Lodge is set up as a serious big bass fishing lodge—and nothing else.

Spend some time apart—it makes the heart grow fonder.

Thanks for the answers. We do solo travel a lot. Looks like a me trip, which sounds like a good time.
