Edge rods by Gary Loomis - thoughts?

Featured Replies

I myself didn't have a good experience with Edge Rods last fall. I ordered a EFX Pro rod from them, 3 of the guides were out of alignment and the epoxy on the rod butt wasn't finished well so the carbon fiber really dug into my arm. Their rod was really tip heavy to add along with it.

I wasn't happy with the quality of the rod overall, the only good part of the experience was the free return shipping. I waited 2 weeks for a refund/credit which never happened from them.

I ended up having to contact my credit card company involved to get my money back from Edge Rods, so if you ever return anything back to them it will probably take a minimum of 2-3 months. Just my personal experience I'll give them one of these. 👎

Whats the Mag 3? I've heard of the MAg 2 and the Helium 3. Did Trey come out with a new Mag Line?

I've heard of this happening before (don't remember which company), but it's pretty wild that could happen.  Several failures occured for that to ship.

That deserves more than a thumb down.

My dude - this post is almost 5 years old and the person you are asking only ever made this post and hasn't been on the site since June 2019. Probably not gonna get an answer...🫤

Thx

Old and questionable.  A couple of guys made accounts and posted just once to bash NFC/Edge never to be heard from again.  There is a long thread on TT about recent experiences with NFC, and most are positive.

I have a Delta 7'2"ML spinning rod, and it is closer to a MH.  I figured it is an inshore rating.  Nice rod though...

Yea I talked to th guy over there. The delta  rods are comparable to a Glx. So I think overall the actions are much much faster which is why you feel like that rods stronger than it’s rated
