What and why is your favorite pencil popper for largemouth , small mouth  and spotted bass  ? The Ima Little Stick 135  , Lucky Craft Gunfish 117 and the Evergreen Shower Blows would be on my short list . I am curious about the new Berkley Cane Walker but have not seen it yet - your thoughts ?

Mine would probably be the ima finesse popper, walks well and makes a good noise.

The Showerblows is great, although a little spendy, it's a topwater so I'm not generally concerned about losing them.

I bought a Cane Walker when they came out and have really liked it so far. I had a toad try to eat it when I was just testing it, then caught a few despite terrible conditions.

Thanks Bluebasser86 - the Cane Walker's size , colors quality and price make it affordable to buy a couple to try out ...

It's more of a walking popper, like a regular pencil popper, than the Showerblows is. The SB can almost be walked in place without moving it forward but still throws water due to the side face cups.

I've tried a few of the new Berkley topwaters and have really liked all of them so far.

I’m completely unfamiliar with any of them. Would you say it’s easier to cover water with the cane walker than the showerblows?

Think of the SB like a long popper, and the Cane Walker more like a chugging spook. The Cane Walker is the better one for covering water imo.

Haven't used the others, so I can't compare, but I will say that I've been pretty happy with my Gunfish.  Extremely easy to walk, but it has seemed a bit more like a dink magnet than a lunker lure.

What size shower blows would you recommend?

i have an ima little stick 135 but that’s about it as far as this style bait goes. I have plenty of spooks and walking baits, and a couple chugging spooks but I really want to try a SB I just don’t know what size to buy.

Boyd Duckett BDT Topwater in Bloody Ghost Minnow Size 105. Best walker I have ever used, by far.

Shower Blow 105 for the win.

Gun fish has been my top producer for years but I did pick up some Shower Blows.

I've been throwing the shower blows shorty a bunch and really like it.

It has replaced my poppers and walk the dog baits as I can do both with the SB.

I have the larger size one as well but it has been less effective.

I'm sure it will get a workout when I hit Chickamauga this spring.

I had to change out the hooks as they were not strong enough and kept bending.

Pretty crappy for a $20 bait IMO, but still worth it.

*Megabass colors are other worldly (in a good way) !

I have yet to find a topwater I like more than the Shower Blows 105 in Natural Gill. Too me, it's worth every single penny, and then some.
