Alex from GA here.  I've been fishing for a long time, over 70 years, and don't get skunked very often.  My neighbor took me fishing on the Santa Monica pier in the mid 40s and I've been hooked ever since.  In CA, where I used to live, I mostly saltwater fished.  In my war years I was stationed in MT and trout fished then came back to CA and saltwater fished mostly until we moved to GA in '99 where I bass fish several times a week.  We live near Lake Lanier where I keep a small bass boat in a dock all summer.  On weekends I'm usually on the N GA rivers in a kayak fishing for shoal and Chattahoochee bass.  In GA the DNR has a program called a "bass slam" where if you catch 5 of the 10 species of black bass in GA you get a certificate and a couple of tickets to the Go Fish Center in Perry, GA.  I've joined that the past couple of years.  Our winter is spent in a small town, Hernando, in central FL where I also fish several times a week, usually for bass, in the local rivers and lakes  there.  I go to the gulf a few times also usually with a local friend that guides me.  Our daughter lives near Beaver Lake AR where I've fished and I've waded streams in KY last summer for smallmouth.  That's all folks.
