Looking at a 2004 procraft

Featured Replies

i am going to look at a 2004 procraft boat on saturday, it has a 90hp mercury and its in mint condition with 130 hrs on motor, it is a 165 pro i was wondering if anybody has any reviews on the procraft and im trying to fing the top speed of the boat, also its $4,800 is it worth it?

First off, welcome to the forum!

I'm not too familiar with Pro Crafts, but it sounds nice by your description, and would certainly be worth $4800 if everything is good with the boat. Just make sure the motor is good, drive it, or have a mechanic check it out if you can. That's the one area where it can get expensive very fast if issues creep up.

It won't be a burner by any stretch, I don't know exactly what top speed would be, but it probably be roughly 40MPH, and that's if you're travelling light.

You in a hurry to get somewhere?  Boat might do 40 with a tailwind on glass water.

no, I was just wondering how fast the boat would go

I'm very familiar with the boat, it will hit 46-47 with that engine, boat is very stable, if its in good condition buy it before some one else does. My buddy owned it and we fished off it many times with that same engine.

Sounds like a good starter boat but go ahead and pay an independent mechanic $100 to look it over for you.

Sweet ride ?

Very well built boat, handles rough water really well, & in that condition well worth the money!

Looks like your new rig was well cared for and in excellent condition.

My only concern is the trailer tires, check the mfr date and if over 10 years old replace them regardless of tread wear.

Enjoy your boat!

Happy New Years,

Tom

Nice.  It looks like it's been very well taken care of.

Nice boat, looks like you got a deal !!!!
