  • My 'goal' will most likely remain the same for the fore seeable future.  And that is to do what I can to stay healthy & physically fit enough to go fishing. The rest will take care of it

  • Spend time with dad

  • As some of you know medical issues dictated an early retirement for me, so my wife and I came up with a two part set of goals for us. Part one is complete, get a more comfortable boat. We did and coul

Hoping to actually get out and fish this year. Only went twice last year. Would love to find a fishing buddy, someone to learn from, add too, share life with. Someone to help me appreciate things..........

Just getting back into fishing, and now becoming obsessed again.

1. Figuring out my new (old) bass boat.  I've wanted a bass boat for 40 years, so I can't wait to fix this one up and start using it.

2. Become reasonably proficient with my electronics.

3. Fish with my son, friends, and grandchildren.

1.  Purchase house within reasonable distance of the lake that has a proper boat garage.

2.  Add boat 2 with high end graphs and trolling motor capabilities.  ipilot and spot lock is wanted.

3.  Learn to use those capabilities.

4.  Convert Dad and brother from only fly fishing streams to joining me on the water.

5.  If those 4 happen,  I will be thankful and content as it has been years of planning and saving to get here.

Biggest goal for me this year is to get my first boat. Been looking at newish bass trackers that are within my price range that I really like.

Also early spring fishing, it's my biggest weakness

1. Catch a three pound bass ( I know ? )

2. Learn a T Rig well

3. Get at least 1 top water fish

4. Get permission to fish a private pond

  • 3 weeks later...

1. learn how to spot grass lines on the graphs

2. fish some tournaments

3. catch a limit often

4. stay away from Cabela's fishing section

My goals are:

1) Beat my PB of 2.5lbs

2) Catch multiple fish on treble hook lures.

3) Complete all 6 MTB Slams (I got boxes over winter that I have yet to use)

4) fish 10 new bodies of water

5) Fish with other high school friends

6) Have fun in my second year  of bass fishing

I want to improve my finesse fishing.   2017 I focused on jigs, 2018 texas rig, this year I want to learn finesse.  Living in the PNW it should be one of my main methods.  Drop shot, ned, shaky head, weightless wormin is gonna be a focus this year.

That should just about cover it.

Catch more fish. Try going to a few further away places I never fished before.

The only two goals I ever have on the water are to

  • Have fun
  • Break my PB (currently 6.2#)
