My son, never enough time.

#1.  My grandad.  The one who taught me to cast a spinning rod.  He hated bass fishing, but he loved to fish for crappie and catfish. 

 

#2.  Dad.  Fished with him a lot as a kid.  I ask him all of the time now, but he always says no.  He admits to not liking fishing now.  I realize now that he only went then because I wanted to.

 

3#.  Gerald Swindle.  Dude is hilarious, i think we would get along.

 

#4.  My son.  He isn't even here yet, but I cant wait to take that kid fishing. 

My grandfather.  He passed away back in '93, when I was a kid he always said he wanted to take me fishing but he had some bad health issues.  When he passed away I was given all of his fishing gear.  He had everything, antique Flatfishes, Arbogast lures, Dardevles, Finnish made Rapalas, you name it.  Sadly, my stupid teenager self lost every bit of it.  A friend's older brother had a musky boat back in then.  I went fishing with them often and figured I'd just leave the tackle on the boat since we were going a few times per week.  Unfortunately, he was lazy about paying his bills and the boat was repossessed.  Every piece of tackle I owned was on there including my grandfather's, so in my later teens and early 20s, I had to start out from scratch

Speaking solely of living, anglers that have influenced me over the years and I haven't had the opportunity or pleasure to fish with; Spence Petros and Rick Clunn.

Anyone besides family would be Mark zona. 

after being a member to this site, I am enjoying so many new friendships . my fishing wishes would be to meet and fish with these new friends.

I lost my fishing partner last year after spending over 40 years sharing a boat with him. We made a perfect team when fishing tournaments and just really enjoyed each others company.

 

He left one of his caps in my boat that I didn't find until after he had passed. I now wear that cap every trip in honor of him. I miss him terribly.

Brian Latimer - hasn't made a name on the FLW tour that I can tell, but I like his youtube vids and he has a charisma that I think I would enjoy fishing with him.

 

I would actually love to fish with anyone who can teach me more.

If we’re talking pros The river otter or KVD other than pros my older brother it’s been 20 plus years since I’ve fished with him

As for famous folks go, smallmouth fishing author Tim Holschlag for river fishing. Jim Root for lake smallmouth fishing.

I'd have to say Doug Stange of In Fisherman.  He grew up not far from where I did, so I'd love to hear stories of his days in NW Iowa.

Pat Cullen. He caught over 1,100 10+ lb bass.

I went to college with Patrick Willis. Great guy. Still incredibly humble to this day
