I'm still fishing tomorrow. Figure I'll go from 5:30-10:30. It will probably hit 90 around that time.

I think that's our total for the year So far. By now we should have 40-50 inches.  My snow puppy is no more, he's been softened by my wife. These guys as you probably know are built for mountai

  • And of course, there's always this little issue.

83 and you could cut the air with a knife this morning when I left at 5:40.

My malamutes, despite blowing most of their winter coats, are fairly miserable out in the kennel.

There's a big oscillating fan out there but it's not really helping at this point.

They'll be pretty happy to spend the night down stairs in the A/C . . .

And they will run me right over to get in the house later - because they know.

But try and get them outside in the morning . . .

Especially when this is their Idea of Nap time . . .

I am thinking a night fishing excursion is in the works for me tonight.  Temps should be reasonable comparatively speaking and moon should provide al the light i need.  Hope to get out around an hour before sunset and fish till i am either freaked out by the bats too much or i run out of alcohol....

I hope you guys are taking care of yourselves in the heatwave we are having. It does not matter how strong you are or you think you are, you can still be a victim of heat stroke. A 32 year old former NFL player recently died from heat stroke. He was 6'3'', 315 pounds, and was in the Super Bowl.

Caught a couple small ones but the lake had something going on with it.  There was stuff floating everywhere and a slick on the water.  I got there around 6 or so and stayed out till about midnight.  My electronics were acting wacky too, side imagine was ok but down imaging and traditional sonar was all cluttered up.  I am hoping it was just because of all the "stuff" in the water but we will have to see next time I go out there.

Algae bloom? Our lake just had a nasty one over the last couple weeks that almost completely choked off the narrows to the main lake. Thankfully they came and sprayed Wednesday I believe and it’s cleared things up considerably. I wasn’t launching my boat again until it cleared up.

I don't think it was algae but it was all murky and water was down some.  Not sure if they opened up the dam a little to let more water through and that was stirring it all up or what.  It was almost like a fall turnover kind of deal.

I actually had to turn off the fish alarm because it was going crazy
