hey guys pond expert here let me know if you have any questions regarding largemouth pond hunting. suburbs or farm ponds I got lots of tips and tricks from sand bottom to grass filled or even super murky. southeast states are my expertise

yes we are very blessed here. plus most anglers have a trout addiction or redfish some of these ponds are hardly touched its amazing.

Yeah , my son and me target Reds , sheepheads and flounder primarily in saltwater. 

Most of the ponds have at least a few bass in them. It takes some work to find the best ones though.

12 lb line probably wont be too much cover to wear it down if you hook a big one. I prefer baitcasters and Amy medium high strength rod 7' or 7'2. currently using a lews mach 1 you can get at dicks for 140 the baitcaster is a great deal the rod is perfect and it looks like an xbox 360. 

1 bait I'd Texas rig a 3/8 oz cylinder weight on top of a baby brush hog or christie critter in green pumpkin blk flake I've never seen it fail for at least 1 bite.

DH, down here for a couple weeks in st Augustine, brought a 7’3” rod and a lews baitcaster, handful of lures and looking to slay some bass. Recommmendations?

sadly saint Augustine is my least travelled and fished spot in the area. my dad caught an 8lb bass on a power worm in a decent sized pond near an overpass by the Orlando airport. try looking at Google maps usually wal marts and other big box stores have nice sized retention ponds somewhere nearby for drainage if the store has been open for 5 plus years you will catch bass for sure. also fishing and parking by overpass is legal unless marked otherwise just make sure you have a license. pond doesnt need to be huge either just good sized. we are in a heavy drought for the area right now so definitely Texas rig it's your best shot.

I reccomend Texas rig right now but the chatterbait should work early in the morning or in the evening. baby brush hog from dicks sporting goods is preferred

oh I got all sorts of yamasenkos have some wacky rig rings and hooks in the mail. getting alot of bites on havoc pitboss Texas rigged pumpkin for normal clarity okeechobee craw for murky
